Led by experienced artist Dawn Whitehand, this four-part mosaic course will have you making a mosaic sphere that will combine a range of tesserae (mosaic tiles) including pottery shards, glass tiles, pebbles, and more. Make a unique piece for your home or a gift for a loved one!
We will be mosaicing a 20cm diameter polystyrene sphere which will be suitable as an outdoor or indoor sculpture.
The course will run over four weeks on the following schedule:
  • Week one: Develop design and sketch onto a substrate, and begin arranging tesserae.
  • Week two: Finish arranging design and begin adhering your design.
  • Week three: Finish adhering your design.
  • Week four: Grout your finished mosaic.
