My sister in-law invited me along to a workshop.
I will admit i was a little worried I might not be able to produce anything worth taking home.
But! With a step by step workshop and help on hand when needed, I am quite happy with my very first attempt!!!
I cannot fault the class, or the ‘teachers’.
If you are looking for something to immerse yourself in for a few hours, with help from both instuctors and those in the class who have a bit of experience, then this is the right place

Booked my daughter and friends into this class as a school holiday treat. The location is great for Oyster Bay locals and Claudia is a patient and experienced teacher. My daughter had attended Claudia's class at Hazelhurst so was looking forward to doing a class with friends who were new to clay. Kids were very excited to have the space to themselves and were keen to maximise their time. They learned techniques suited to kids new to clay such as cutting and pinch pots and had enough time to paint their work before firing. My daughter is definitely interested to trial a term class next year.

I had such a wonderful time at Claudia’s sgraffito class this past Saturday. The space itself is lovely—so light, bright, and welcoming—and the class size was just right. Everyone was incredibly friendly, making for a great atmosphere from start to finish.
Claudia and Laura were exceptional teachers. They helped us accomplish so much in such a short window, and I walked away feeling genuinely proud of learning a new technique. Even though I already have a decent amount of pottery techniques, this class has a low barrier to entry and would be equally ideal for complete beginners.
One of my favourite parts was that while we all learned the same core technique, everyone walked out with a completely unique creation. Claudia and Laura took the time to help each person plan and execute their own distinct design. Highly recommend!

Claudia's handbuilding sgraffito workshop was excellent. The teachers were very knowledgeable, helpful, positive and friendly. The workshop was well prepared and doable within the time frame with everything supplied. The studio is beautiful and well equipped and comfortable and Claudia will take care of the final glazing and the firings. Claudias holiday class for kids was fantastic! She was so organised with the process and catered to every child from those who had not touched clay before to those with some experience, guiding them every step of the way.
