Mum. She brought you into this world. She raised, taught, and nurtured you. She’s always been there for you, to guide, to support, and to love you.
Give mum a much deserved treat this Mother’s Day. Something that will spark her curiousity and put a smile on her face. Gift her a unique experience that she’ll love. She can escape for a solo adventure, or you could spend some mother-son / mother-daughter time together. And if she’s an enigma with mysterious tastes and schedules, give her a gift card and let her choose for herself.
Here are just 5 ideas:
Flower arranging. Surround mum with the season’s most exquisite blooms, and let her pick her own to build a tasteful arrangement, under the guidance of a master florist. She can make a gorgeous bouquet, or explore an elegant Japanese-style Ikebana arrangement, creating harmony with colours, textures and patterns.
Macaron making. Indulge in the sweet side of life. Let mum whip up (and munch) a batch of cute macarons, with a secret recipe used by Sydney’s finest macaron maker. As a bonus, she’ll get a kit to continue her macaron making at home, and perhaps you’ll be the beneficiary of that!
Pottery. Give mum a meditative experience, where the journey is just as important (if not more so) than the end product. Give her some time to play with a potter’s wheel, or make her very own teapot. Perfect for your next tea time together.
Drawing. Let mum learn drawing the easy and fun way, from a professional. She’ll amaze you (and herself) with what she’ll create, and this could be the start of a lifelong hobby.
Juggling. Are the options above a bit too serious for your mum? Perhaps mum just wants to have a laugh and do something active? All mums are expert jugglers, often being a combination of chauffeur, chef, personal stylist, tutor, friend, home director, and much more. So it’s a natural extension for her to also learn how to keep multiple balls fluidly dancing in the air. Perfect for a mum with younger kids too. Fun and giggles guaranteed.
Treat mum to one, or a few of these (and reward yourself too). And if you haven’t found that perfect gift yet, just check out the rest of ClassBento’s workshops.
Here’s to a happy and inspired mum!
