If only I could give 100 stars! Absolutely loved this workshop! The class was super easy to follow, really well structured, and just genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. I also loved that the group was small — it made everything feel really friendly and comfortable, like everyone already knew each other ️
Nick was so friendly and accommodating, and explained everything in a way that just made total sense. I originally booked this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, but honestly… I think it ended up being more of a gift for myself :D
And the best part is what you get to take home afterwards! I absolutely love my bird, and it feels so special knowing you made it yourself. Such a fun and different experience — definitely recommend this workshop! 100/10

What a wonderful afternoon learning the art of glassblowing and creating our own glass bird or paperweight to take home as a keepsake. Nick was fantastic, patiently explaining each step and making the process easy to follow. It was a truly enjoyable hands-on experience and a perfect introduction to glassblowing. Teacher communicated and demonstrated clearly. Was a really lovely guy with a great breadth of experience. Pity my brain finds it hard to do two actions at once, unlike the rest of the class. Very fun and eye opening.

I was given a class for my birthday but had always wanted to try glass blowing. The class was so much fun! The instructor was very clear and spent a lot of time on safety and technique and was right there to guide you and help out if you needed it. He was very knowledgeable and explained each step first. I’m definitely going to do the intermediate class next!

What a fun class. Great teacher, very knowledgeable and helpful. He made it look so easy. I was pleasantly surprised that I actually managed to make a bird and not a blob. Colours are wonderful.

Thank you for a fun experience with a fancinating artform. I went solo and had a great time with my group. Our teacher was skilled and jovial, and I can't reccommend the bloke's class enough. I'll be back for more glassblowing!

What a brilliant class and teacher! Molten glass is terrifying but this intro really made it approachable. Nick was super calm and gave great instructions and support, giving us enough guidance that we could achieve the outcomes (making a paperweight and tumbler) with enough room to really feel what using the tools and processes was like (i.e. juggling a blob of molten lava on the end of a stick while trying not to burn myself, drop it, or flick it at anyone else AND trying to work it into the required shape)! I highly recommend giving it a go!

I went with two of my daughters and we had a blast. Nick was very patient with us and ensured that our paperweights and glasses turned out as they should, though my daughters and I were convinced we were going to mess up. We are looking forward to seeing the finished products once they finish annealing. There was another two women there and we all got along like glass on fire. Between the five of us and Nick, there was a lot of laughter and fun.

I honestly cannot recommend Nick and Ruth at ClassBento enough! From the moment we walked in, the entire experience was nothing short of incredible. I booked the Taster class for my partner and I to celebrate our 3-year anniversary, and it turned out to be one of the most fun, memorable things we’ve done together.
Nick was absolutely amazing; so welcoming, patient, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He guided us every step of the way, made us feel completely comfortable (even as beginners), and created such a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. You can really tell he loves sharing his craft, and it made the whole experience even more special.
We laughed, learned something new, and walked away with not only our creations but also such a beautiful shared memory. It was the perfect mix of fun, creativity, and connection.
We’ll 100% be back to do the beginner class. This was just the start for us!
If you’re even thinking about booking, do it. You won’t regret it.

Glass blowing review. Christmas present from 3 years ago, life got in the way. Use of molten glass, how to added colour, use of tools & saftey. Teacher was great, assisted when needed but let you make the object, great instructions made this possible. The atmosphere was quite & clean which was a good thing as saftey with the equipment was important. I absolutely loved it, learned alot and could become a very addictive hobby.
Here’s a polished version of your review while keeping your voice and experience:
I attended a glass blowing workshop that had originally been a Christmas present from three years ago — life got in the way, but it was absolutely worth the wait.
We learned how to work with molten glass, add colour, and use the different tools safely. The teacher was fantastic — always there to assist when needed, but also letting you create the object yourself. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made the whole process achievable and enjoyable.
The studio atmosphere was quiet, clean, and very organised, which was reassuring given the importance of safety when working with the equipment.
I absolutely loved the experience, learned a lot, and can definitely see how glass blowing could become a very addictive hobby.

Excellent class! Wow, had never done anything like it before -- and Nick was so easy and fun to work with. Great teacher, and with a group of just four of us, we were each so engaged and part of the process. Ruth's studio is fantastic and really inspiring -- will be checking out future classes, and can't wait to see my little bird :)

Glass blowing! Don't panic - the pole is long enough tp make sure you don't burn your lips. Nick was out teacher - cheerful, relaxed, and can spot a potential injury well in advance, so you are in excellent hands. At the end of the workshop (and after a few days for your creations to cool slowly) you will have two works of art of your very own: A brilliantly functional paperweight of swirly coloured glass, and a drinking vessel that does not leak (unless you drop it). Also the workshop is filled is brilliant masterpieces that call out to you to buy them. Should you do it? Yes. Will you learn things: Absolutely. Will you enjoy it: You will be surprised how much.

My birthday present to myself. It was a great workshop, Nick explained it all beforehand and we did a couple of practices before the real thing so we all knew what we were doing. Really enjoyed myself, did it with a great bunch of people.
