Our teacher, Nick, was great! There was just for of us in the class which works well as only one person goes at a time - that gives you a good amount of time to both observe and to do the experience yourself. Nick made it look so easy! He was also patient, funny and gave great instructions/guidance. Would love to do more classes here. The experience was super interesting and after watching multiple seasons of Blown Away, it pretty awesome to be in an actual hotshop and experience glass sculpting first hand!

Was a lot of fun!! Had my class rescheduled due to not enough people but they made the process very easy. Learnt a lot about glass blowing in the session. Nick was a fantastic teacher, nerves of steel with all us amateurs slinging molten glass around. Would give more stars if I could.

Our instructor for the glass blowing taster class was excellent. He gave really clear steps and tips for making our bird sculptures. He also went above and beyond to accommodate my shoulder injury, being my second arm for me and changing the whole set up around so I could work with my left hand. I can't wait to see the results when my husband and I pick up our birds tomorrow!

Absolutely incredible introduction to glassblowing, had so much fun and learnt so much, thanks to Nick, who was an excellent teacher. We each got to make a paperweight and a tumbler, and through that process learnt the basics of glassblowing, from picking up molten glass, to adding colour, using tools to shape the glass, assisting others in the class, all the while doing this safely with the oversight and help of Nick, who ensured we all made a glass paperweight and tumbler with ease. We got to pick them up the very next day, and we are definitely addicted to glassblowing now!

We were a family of four and had a private lesson with Nick one weekend.Nick was a wonderful teacher. There was alot of information to absorb, especially around safety and technique but Nick was always on hand to direct and help in a very calm manner. Thank goodness, as my beginner technique was severely lacking. We all had a great time as a family and now have a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the design and skill of this artisan trade. The time past very quickly. Workshop was easy to find, the dog is very friendly and I would recommend to anyone who is interested.

If only I could give 100 stars! Absolutely loved this workshop! The class was super easy to follow, really well structured, and just genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. I also loved that the group was small — it made everything feel really friendly and comfortable, like everyone already knew each other ️Nick was so friendly and accommodating, and explained everything in a way that just made total sense. I originally booked this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, but honestly… I think it ended up being more of a gift for myself :DAnd the best part is what you get to take home afterwards! I absolutely love my bird, and it feels so special knowing you made it yourself. Such a fun and different experience — definitely recommend this workshop! 100/10

I was given a class for my birthday but had always wanted to try glass blowing. The class was so much fun! The instructor was very clear and spent a lot of time on safety and technique and was right there to guide you and help out if you needed it. He was very knowledgeable and explained each step first. I’m definitely going to do the intermediate class next!

What a brilliant class and teacher! Molten glass is terrifying but this intro really made it approachable. Nick was super calm and gave great instructions and support, giving us enough guidance that we could achieve the outcomes (making a paperweight and tumbler) with enough room to really feel what using the tools and processes was like (i.e. juggling a blob of molten lava on the end of a stick while trying not to burn myself, drop it, or flick it at anyone else AND trying to work it into the required shape)! I highly recommend giving it a go!

I went with two of my daughters and we had a blast. Nick was very patient with us and ensured that our paperweights and glasses turned out as they should, though my daughters and I were convinced we were going to mess up. We are looking forward to seeing the finished products once they finish annealing. There was another two women there and we all got along like glass on fire. Between the five of us and Nick, there was a lot of laughter and fun.
