Over one and a half hours, you will experience an unforgettable display of Aboriginal culture. A rich and primally rewarding hands-on experience, learning from an Aboriginal Elder about a diverse range of Aboriginal culture and traditions.
Experience the art of an Elders Aboriginal storytelling, feel the vibrations touch your soul from the strength of his didgeridoo and clapping stick playing, examine a wide range of traditional Aboriginal tools and artefacts and learn how they were first made. All while enjoying a wine tasting of award-winning wines in the beautiful gardens of Firescreek Botanical Winery.
You will be shown and also be able to taste Australian native plants (where seasonally possible and practical). The Firescreeks’ winemaker will also guide you through wine tasting and discuss how Australian native flora and other botanicals are used to make these unique wines.
How the experience will run:

The Elder will take you on an immersive and interactive discussion of Aboriginal culture, heritage and traditions. Including a masterful didgeridoo display, a wondrous Aboriginal instrument crafted from nature, that echos a vibrant and primal sound, a not to be forgotten experience.
A discussion about Australian natives displayed in a handmade Aboriginal coolamon bowl with also be provided and where seasonally possible and practical, you will be able to try this Aboriginal bush tucker. The Elder will guide you through traditional Aboriginal stories and the history of the Aboriginal people and an immersive discussion about a wide range of Aboriginal artefacts will be provided.
The winemaker will take you on a guided tasting of all current vintages of wine produced at the winery with a discussion about the winemaking process and the use of indigenous botanicals utilised in the making of specialised vintages, that are not made anywhere else in the world.
