Learning to play the ukulele can be an incredibly fun skill to take on and can have such a positive effect on your health, well-being, and quality of life.
It can also bring you hours of endless fun, stimulate your mind and creativity, release feel good endorphins and open a whole new world of social connections with like-minded ukulele friends. You will simply feel UKE-TASTIC!
Our 4 week Absolute Beginner Ukulele Course is designed to give you a fun and energised experience of what it's like to play the instrument of joy! Absolutely NO musical background is necessary for you to join this course.
You will discover all the important parts of the ukulele and how to tune your uke as well as:
* How to play in the "sweet spot" with correct playing technique that maximises quality sound production
* An introduction to the musical alphabet and basic chord vocabulary
* A fundamental grounding in basic chords and common chord progressions
* How to read simple chord charts and song sheets and where to obtain song material of interest to you
* Different strumming techniques
* An introduction to melody playing and TAB notation
* A repertoire of popular songs from different musical genres
Once you start, we guarantee you’ll be hooked for life and there will be no stopping you in your quest to discover your innate musical self.

Janine* and the team of qualified music teachers at Making Music 4 Life have been teaching ukulele on the Northern Beaches since 2011. Over 1, 000 people have completed our courses from beginner to advanced level players. Our mission is to create a musical community that brings people together and we are extremely passionate about teaching music to adults who have never had the opportunity to learn a musical instrument before.
