During this full day workshop you'll have the opportunity to work on a painting from start to finish. Perfect for first time painters who want to get to know the ins and outs of acrylic paints. But also for those of you who love painting; whether you would like a refresher, or have a particular idea in mind and need some dedicated time and space. You're all welcome!
This is a small, self-paced class, where everyone works on their own projects, while offering plenty of opportunity to ask specific questions as you're progressing on your painting. So feel free to bring in images of your favourite places, landscapes, animals or pets. No stress if you can't think of a subject matter, there will be some colourful flowers for a still-life scene as well.
Step by step overview on what's involved with acrylic painting.
Intro to mixing colours and a brief overview on colour theory. And how to apply this.
Getting started: a quick pencil sketch, while keeping an eye out on how to get those proportions right.
Setting-up your painting and how to apply the first layers of paint.
How to work your way through the different steps and layers of painting.
How to give your painting that Finishing Touch.
Includes a 30 min BYO lunchbreak: Buy lunch at one of the local cafes, or enjoy bring your own and enjoy the beautiful outdoor terrace.
All materials are included: Paints, brushes, paper and a canvas board
No previous painting experience is needed for this class
