What you'll do
Have you always wanted to try acrylic pour painting? Or are you looking for unique things to do in the Cairns area? Come and join this five-week acrylic pour painting class, where you will create stunning acrylic pour paintings and understand a variety of paint pouring techniques.
This course is a great introduction for beginners to the world of fluid art. Working with many colours including metallics, you'll learn how to mix and pour paint to get amazing effects. Create cells, stripes and wispy effects as colours flow and interact.
Watch the paint take on a life of its own as it transforms before your eyes like alchemy!
Acrylic paint pouring techniques you'll learn include:
- Dirty pour
- Dutch pour
- Ring pour
- String pour
- Swipe OR Reverse flower dip using bottle bottom
During the course, we will cover:
- Basic colour theory
- Creating colour palettes
- Paint, pouring mediums and mixing
This course is limited to five students only to ensure an intimate experience and individual attention.
Held in beautiful rainforest garden art studio immersed in nature in Koah (Cairns).
At the end of the hands-on course, you will have a range of DIY acrylic pour art to admire at home and all the skills to continue experimenting with fluid art.

No knowledge or experience required. Perfect for beginners.
What you'll get
Each week you'll receive all materials, a stretched canvas and you'll make a beautiful painting (Please note: Your painting will need to be left in the studio to dry for at least 72 hours before you can collect it. Or you can pick up your painting at the next class).
What to bring
Wear old clothes you don't mind getting paint on or bring an apron. Gloves are provided.
