Did you know that making art can significantly reduce stress levels? That's right, studies show that art makes you healthier. Cortisol level, a biological indicator linked to stress, has been shown to be significantly lowered following art-making.

I realised that when I'm feeling overwhelmed with life's demands, important things to get done, deadlines, etc. well, that's exactly when I need to stop and create some balance. Making art immediately puts me in the zone. I feel energised and relaxed, with a new perspective on everything. I'm more productive, more creative, happier.

Life can be stressful. Art is about wellbeing. That's why I want to help more people heal, find emotional balance and wellbeing through art-making. I invite you to come along and create space for yourself to experience the joy and fun! Join me for this six-week course.

Starting with mindfulness practices to get relaxed and centred. As we move into art-making you'll experience and enjoy your individual creative expression. We get out of our heads and into our hearts, letting go and getting a bit messy. We explore exciting new art activities each week. We'll be doing some beautiful outdoor activities in the late afternoon to evening.

I am an experienced artist, teacher and art therapist in my Koah studio. I love to share this transformational power of art with others. I know I’m making a difference when students experience less stress and anxiety, they have fun and leave feeling calm, relaxed and soothed. This course is designed to suit people looking to balance their working lives through creative expression.

I am a Transpersonal Art Therapist. I run art workshops for people living with disabilities. I attained a Master of Visual Arts. I have taught art at universities, TAFE and schools.
