4.9 (76)I'm Bec Cogan, a Macramé artist based on Sydney's Northern Beaches with a passion for creative art.
I have developed a selection of wall hangings and plant hangers for custom order as well as being open to special orders for those who have a specific idea in mind.
Along with ClassBento I have been lucky enough to star on Channel Seven’s Sunrise show and have developed a number of workshops specifically designed to challenge the mind yet be suitable for beginners.

I loved the mini wall hanging class! It was a great way to slow down and do something creative. It was almost meditative.
Bec is a great teacher, very approachable and patient but gives you space to work autonomously, too. I enjoyed that the class was made up of others doing other designs, and we all intermittently chatted throughout. It felt very communal.
I walked away feeling proud of my design and surprised how quickly 2 hours went by!

Another fabulous workshop from Bec. It's my 3rd workshop with Becsknots and I came away with a lovely plant hanger as did the rest of our work group. Bec is patient and helpful and provides lovely quality cord and accessories. Highly recommend Bec's classes.

Loved the mandala workshop. My mother and I went as a Mother's Day treat. Lovely location at Terrey Hills Emporium and Bec is a fabulous teacher. Really patient and explains everything so well. This is my 2nd workshop with Becsknots and it was just as good as the plant hanger workshop. Thanks Bec

Bec was supposed patient and lovely to all of us. 4 in the class today and my first time. Bec even bought us hot chocolate/coffee and donuts from the bakery downstairs. Highly recommend.

It has been something I have wanted to do for a long time.

This was loads of fun & Bec is a total 6 star teacher, she's wonderful, her video classes are excellent, learnt so much from her & nothing is too much trouble. Would totally recommend her classes for anyone of any skills & my skills are of the lowest but even I didn't stuff this one up.

We took this as a team building workshop for our AU and US teams and macrame was the perfect icebreaker! Bec was so patient and took us through the steps as many times as we needed. As some of the team got the hang of it they went into a separate breakout room to knot and chat, while others stayed with Bec for more instruction. Even though we were such a large group this kept the class really engaging and everyone finished amazed that they'd turned a few bundles of rope into a plant hanger. Thanks so much for such a relaxing morning of macrame Bec, the time absolutely flew by!

Bec was warm, friendly and welcoming. My friends and I did this activity to celebrate two of our birthdays (which we missed in lockdown). Bec was approachable and created a warm and friendly environment for us to ask questions and make an incredible macrame wall hanging. Her teaching methods are calm and relaxing and you walk away with enough knowledge to create more of your own basic macrame designs. She also walks through steps slowly and is happy to repeat them/help you out individually when you're stuck. Class sizes are also small (there were 7 people for our session).
Bec also provided us with yummy snacks and bought us coffee halfway through to keep our energy up. Don't be afraid of the 4.5 hour class - it flies by so quickly as you're working on building your piece bit by bit. Great birthday/friends get together activity!

Bec is a great teacher, and this is the third macrame piece I have been able to create thanks to her.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a good time and a lovely piece of self made art!

I did the plant hanger Macrame class with Becs Knots and it was such a good class. Bec was so patient, lovely and just so easy going. She would help wherever and whenever you needed it. The environment was very relaxed and location was very easy to get access to. I loved the class and can't wait to do another.

I gave a baby shower and asked Bec to do a private macrame session at home. She was easy to communicate with and very flexible. And the workshop was great! We had some drinks and chatted while Bec thought us how to create a macrame bunting. It was very relaxing, Bec was super patient with us and I ended up with a beautiful macrame banner for the baby room as a reminder of a lovely day. Win, win, win.

My girls had a fabulous time and the teacher was excellent. They loved learning a new skill and even got to make an additional item as they tied their knots super quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Loved the class! Fantastic for a small group of friends on a rainy Sunday afternoon, lots of craft and laughs. Nice space in the Forestville shops and Bec was great with hands on demonstrations and lots individual help when needed.
Everyone left with a fabulous wall hanging! Highly recommend this class.

What a fun workshop - I didn't think I'd be capable of creating something so beautiful that I could then take home and use! So grateful to Bec and her talent - not only did she share her beautiful creations with us, but she made it so accessible to non-creative people like me thanks to her relaxed approach, clear step-by-step instructions, and plentiful encouragement. My husband thought I'd bought my macrame; my 8 year old daughter saw my creation and immediately wanted to sign up! Highly recommended for kids, adults, small or large groups - the more the merrier :)

I enjoyed my class with Bec. She gives clear & precise instructions and has a lovely quiet & sincere demeanour. She was very patient & complimentary about all our efforts. The materials offered were of good quality & a good variety of colour was available. The venue is pleasant, allowing good social distancing. I’m really happy with my cute macrame clutch & look forward to doing a wall-hanging next.
