Want to learn the basics of photography? This beginner-friendly class with Picture Me at Parramatta Park is the perfect introduction to get the best from your camera and what better place to practice than a scenic, outdoors backdrop!

This walking tour is all about getting you off auto mode and understanding the important photography functions, at a convenient location, close to transport and parking. You will improve your photography with the guidance of a friendly accredited trainer and photographer who relates to your needs and camera. With more than 30 years in photography training, we have the right balance of theory and practice that will help you understand what you need to know.

Over four hours, you will:

  • Understand the important settings of ISO, shutter and aperture.
  • When to use the P; A (Av); S (Tv) capture mode.
  • Tips for better photos of family moments and travel.
  • Understand file size, filters and white balance.
  • When to use your flash and different lens.
  • Have plenty of time to learn and discuss with your guide

This class is ideal for travellers, beginners or those who want to take better photos without wanting to become a pro photographer. The learning in this photography class in Parramatta is supported with handout notes and individual tuition within a small group. You will leave with some great photos from the day and the confidence to capture every special moment perfectly.

Knowledge required
Perfect for beginner photographers of all ages. Not suitable for people with back or joint problems, pregnant women or children.

Suitable for

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 15 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

Picture Me Sydney has had both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and adheres to COVID-19 government guidelines. They won't run this class if they've had flu symptoms in the last 14 days.
