I first began pursuing Early Childhood and Primary School Education at 12 years old, when I began regular weekly babysitting for a local family and assisting in Ballet classes at Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre where I was also training. Over the next 8 years my passion for childcare only intensified and I worked in many different parts of the childcare sector: tutoring, after school care, holiday care, Early Childhood Educator at various long day-care centres, children’s party entertainer and dance teacher.
This year at Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre I taught 14 classes which spanned across Pre-school Ballet, RAD Ballet (Pre-Primary-Gr3), Lyrical and Jazz Dance. In 2019, I will be introducing a new ‘music and movement class’ at Ecole for children aged 1.5-3yrs old and their careers. My responsibilities include preparing students for RAD exams, Parent Watching Days, Open Day and the Junior and Senior End of Year Productions.
I genuinely love every aspect of working as a dance teacher and take pride in ensuring that all my students feel included and valued in every class.
We'll keep you posted!
