Hands down the best creative workshop I've ever attended. Ellie was a wonderful teacher and was so helpful with all of my questions about the oil painting process. She was very patient and encouraging, and she explained every step perfectly. It was great to be able to learn with high quality materials and walk away with a beautiful painting that I wouldn't have thought I could create myself. Highly recommended if you want to enter the world of oils!

I thought the teacher done her best in a short period of time that we had, she explained everything in a easy & understandable way.
I am a beginner & I think I picked up a lot of little tricks.
Everything was supplied so all I had to do is turn up. I’m glad I done the class & would recommend anyone who is interested.

It was a solid couple of hours. The first key takeaway for me was filling in gaps for about pigments, opacity and drying times. Ellie showed me her approach to solvent-free oil painting which I think I will adopt.
The second area was in challenging me on a different approach to portrait painting with brush strokes remaining and starker colour changes. I am not 100% convinced this is right for me but I am going to give it a serious try to evaluate it.

I have been wanting to do this class for a long time and was so happy with the outcome. Sue is a great teacher and I was thrilled with the end result. Actually I couldn’t believe what I achieved in such a short time.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our lampshade making workshop with Sue from Bowerbird. She was very kind and helpful and our lampshades look professionally made. They are actually perfect. We worked with a friendly group of ladies in a beautiful sunny room, just a lovely experience all-round.

I am beyond impressed. What a wonderful experience . I would highly recommend this class . I had a private portrait lesson in which i took a picture of my son . I have no painting experience. And Ellie was a wonderful teacher . I know have a stunning portrait that i did . It means so much that i have a gorgeous keep sake to frame

An incredible art class. Ellie took me from a person whom had never done a painting to someone who is excited to create beautiful art . Ellie made it so easy to follow . Everything was amazing from the gorgeous art studio and creative room to learn to the delicious morning tea that you provided .
An extremely informative and narrated class .
Ellie i found to be very encouraging and supportive and professional in her teaching .
I have requested for mother’s day for my family buy me a private art lesson with Ellie . So excited to have a new skill and hobby.

Great class. Clear concise instructions within the class and very helpful. Really enjoyed the process used to make the lampshade. Only criticism would be the fabric choices and not being given the option to look at a solid colour.

This has been the most enjoyable experience in a gorgeous environment. But make no mistake, it is not a social sip & paint type of class. This is challenging and educational and I have learnt so much about oil technique that makes it so unique. But the end result is so worth the challenge. Ellie is so knowledgeable and really good at explaining not only the technique but reasons behind it. I felt inspired, challenged and accomplished and am looking forward to doing it again.
