Bowral Beekeeping is the leading beekeeping training and experiences provider in the Southern Highlands of NSW. We run regular workshops and experiences at our Bowral apiary.

Whether you want to get started in beekeeping or have a hive and need some help managing it we can help with all stages of your beekeeping journey. Alongside our more formal workshops, we run Australia's most highly ranked "experience" where you can hear about the fascinating life of these pollinators, taste honey and then suit up and get into the hives for some memorable photos.

Our head teacher, Hamish Ta-mé, started his beekeeping journey as a teenager and has been deeply engaged ever since. Alongside his years of experience, Hamish has formal qualifications in beekeeping and teaching.

This class was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about such an important part of our ecosystem or learning about how to start beekeeping themselves.
The teacher was inclusive, entertaining, well informed and intelligent and made the experience memorable and enjoyable.

The Beekeeping course was great, Hamish is a very knowledgeable instructor as well as being entertaining! The honey sampling on sourdough was delicious.
The bee handling was an incredible experience and you felt completely safe in the suits.

What a great experience!
Hamish was such a knowledgeable and creative teacher which made the experience even better. It was great to see, experience and work with bees in and around the hives and learn how each hive is different which was so much fun and interesting.
We also learnt how to suit up with proper beekeeping suits.
Such a great experience and would highly recommend if you are interested in bees and/or wanting to start beekeeping.
It gave me the confidence I needed to begin the amazing journey of beekeeping.
