One of the most important skills in realism is getting the values correct. Learn simple tips for identifying brush work and tone whilst using them to create a realistic artwork in under 10 minutes.

In this two day intensive workshop, you will learn about different types of brushes, how they are used and explore the huge variety of marks each different brush can make. Explore how loading your brush, the viscosity of the paint, angle of contact and pressure of contact all can make a huge difference to the marks you make.

At the end of the workshop you will take home a realistic artwork ready to hand on the wall and extremely valuable knowledge that is suitable for painting in all mediums.

Linda’s early study was with photography, drawing and painting. Inspired by the beauty and uniqueness of the Australian landscape she decided to become a landscape artist and developed a distinctive style which uses vivid colour and detail. “I strive to capture the essence of our country from the rich redness of the Pilbara to the turquoise waters of our spectacular coastline.”

After living in Perth for 10 years and traveling extensively around Australia, Linda now calls Melbourne home where she has continues to paint, exhibit and teach. Linda is recognised as one of Australia's foremost watercolour artists and her work has been described as quirky, bold and innovative.
