Honestly hated art class as a kid in high school but doing this with my Mrs was heaps of fun, the teacher had clear instructions very helpful and it was a ball highly recommend doing this
Had a great time doing clay and sip. Got some really really good tips, which was definitely necessary, as I hadn't worked with clay in years. They're dodgy, but they're mine!Might just have to come back for a wheel class...
Family gatheringFrom the internet We learnt to make some clay works of art!The teacher was helpful engaging and very friendlyAtmosphere was casual and funI liked being with my family and doing a fun activity together
Teacher was outstanding Explained necessary techniques, demonstrated these and then coached us through producing our own work The 2 hours flew past Really relaxing and rewarding Thanks
I have wanted to learn pottery for ages, the wheel throwing course was great. It wasn’t easy, but Molly made it fun and was exceptional with her teaching skills. Her patience is a credit to her. Even though I struggled, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A great space to learn this craft and well worth the effort. Thank you
Mollie is a great teacher, I've done a couple of wheel throwing courses before without much success, however, with Mollie I learnt a lot and at last feel comfortable throwing a pot. The class was enjoyable, with a good camaraderie amongst the classmates.
Booked Clay & Sip for my 29th Birthday and we all had a great time. Everyone loved getting creative and all are excited to get their creation back. Its awesome that everyone has a little momento. Loved the ladies running our class, they were full of tips and lots of fun.Thankyou Art Department what a great night!
We had Ben for our class and I really appreciated how informative he was. For my mug I went with a little more difficult of a design, Ben made sure to help out so that the design was properly blended to avoid random cracks in my clay. Mum really enjoyed the class as well, especially the pinch pot method. Thanks for teaching us Ben!
The Art Department and the Clay and Sip class was a great experience. The instructor, Sandie was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend the experience to Friends and Family.
Had a fantastic time with my Mum and Sister making a brekky set at the Art Department. We were celebrating my sisters birthday and mothers day & had loads of fun. The instructions were easy to follow along with and the teachers were a great help with tips and fixing any issues that we came across. Would highly recommend!
What a great class. We did the clay n sip as mother's day/ birthday presents. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing fun afternoon.
Great class, Sandy was a fantastic teacher and made us all laugh the whole class. Really enjoyed making the clay and felt the instructions were very helpful.
Absolutely loved this 5 week course. Jen is so supportive and strikes the perfect balance between letting you make your own creative choices and providing feedback and advice when it is needed. Can’t wait to come back and do some more pottery!
I bought this class as a birthday present for my fiance and we both had a great time. Our instructor Sandy did an excellent job of explaining the process and making the class fun and relaxed.
Birthday (Brydie’s)We had a lovely time. Molly got the required info across breezily & well - for all levels- quickly & in a way that everyone understood. She has a good sense of humour (great for this role) & helped where needed without being intrusive. Even the play-list was good! Thank you for an enjoyable experience!
Great opportunity to learn some new pottery skills in the company of some lovely people. Our tutor Jen, was skilled and knowledgeable in both pottery and teaching. She was attentive and supportive of ideas. Really enjoyed the program and learned heaps.
Really good value, friendly and very well taught. Our teacher Jenny gave great demos than individual attention that matched each student's individual skill level. Gave me the confidence to keep going thank you
Making a breakfast set was so much fun! Piper was a great, patient and helpful teacher. It was fun to get my hands dirty, the atmosphere was fun and light hearted, and I can wait to see my finished goods.
Something I did with a small group of friends, had never done anything with clay before. Enjoyed it very much and the instructor was clear, competent and helpful, looking forward to getting our finished pieces
My children thoroughly enjoyed this class. It was a warm, relaxed & friendly environment where they created a mug, a plate & whatever else their imagination thought of. Highly recommend it!
Molly the teacher was great, made the class very interesting and enjoyable and I learnt so much about pottery wheel skills and clay. Love it, would do it again.
Molly was the best teacher. We had such a great time we didn’t want it to end. Great activity to forget what’s happening in the world and to distress and relax. Thanks Molly we will be back xx
