Maria is an interior designer and creative based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, known for her love of warm, creamy tones, natural textures and a relaxed, sanctuary like style. She grew up in a family of creatives — from seamstresses to artists — and learned to sew before she even started school.

After years balancing a successful corporate career with her passion for interiors, Maria has now shifted her focus entirely to design, reconnecting with creativity and the grounding joy of making. This transition informs the warm, encouraging way she teaches, blending design sensibility with beginner friendly guidance.

Her workshops are soothing, joyful and accessible, specialising in simple, beautiful projects that suit modern Australian homes. With a gentle approach and an eye for detail, Maria supports students step by step as they learn new skills and create pieces they’re genuinely proud of.

"I love teaching beginners because sewing has a way of bringing people into the present moment. There’s something deeply soothing about the rhythm of stitching and the joy of creating something from scratch. Watching guests relax, focus, and leave feeling proud of themselves is one of my favourite parts of this work."
