Mosaics are Catherine's great passion! She has been working with glass for 25 years, and teaching mosaics for 10 years. She loves the limitless, colourful potential that mosaic offers as an art form while being sustainable and permanent.
Catherine creates everything from micro mosaics to large scale architectural installations, however, she has a special love for the technique of glass on glass because of the ‘dance of light’ that can be achieved in this medium.
She enjoy teaching mosaics as much as making them, as she gets to share in the sense of joy and satisfaction with students when they explore new techniques and create beautiful art.

Excellent Class. Catherine is a great teacher and gives excellent instructions and demonstrates each step as you progress into the next stage of your project.
Catherine is very cheerful and friendly, therefore making you relax and creates a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and class.
Brilliant and would recommend doing this class or another class run by Catherine.

What a great workshop creating a glass mosaic banksia. Catherine is not only a skilled artist but an expert teacher. Fabulous workshop, teacher has great knowledge and teaching skills. Lots of materials to choose from and incl in the price. Morning tea was provided, fresh scones and cream ,cake and water melon.
THe workshop location was perfect in airconconditiong. And a beautiful garden to have lunch in a shady undercover area.
I loved seeing the examples she had ready to find inspiration in, I enjoyed seeing everyone's piece of art at the end of the workshop. So many beautiful pieces. Perfect class for any beginner in glass mosaics. I would recommend this workshop to anyone.

Excellent workshop. Catherine, the teacher was very experienced and spent one-on-one time with all participants. Lovely home baked morning tea and tea/coffee. Great gazebo for byo lunch. All materials and tools were provided. Very happy with finished glass mosaic bottlebrush.

The workshop was a fabulous day. It started with arriving at a beautiful venue at the Kirra hill community centre at Coolngatta with a fantastic view of the ocean on a sunshiny winters day. Our artist/trainer Catherine was lovely. Her knowledge and artistic talent was very evident and we learned so much about working with glass mosaics. She supplied all the tools and materials and all were of high quality. I loved my finished product and would highly recommend the workshop, Catherine and the venue. A lovely Saturday of creative exploration and self care.
