What you'll do
Are you a fan of colourful candles and soaps? In this Sydney workshop from the Candle Warehouse Australia, candle makers will learn how to use and mix colours in their candles and soap to create beautiful results.
This class is designed for more experienced candle makers, as your teacher will guide you in how to use colour in candles and soap using different techniques.
During the two-hour class, you will learn:
- An introduction to the different types of colouring products and their application
- How to make a coloured pillar candle
- How to layer colours in a container candle
- How to add crystals and beautiful blooms to candles
- How to layer colours in soap using clay and soap colour
These classes are held in a home studio and kept small with a maximum of five people so we get to cover a lot in a short time! At the end of the class, you will get to take all your beautiful work home, as well as the skills to continue creating your own DIY candles at home.
Please note: Classes may extend for longer than 2.0 hrs.

Knowledge required
We would recommend that you do the Beginners Candle Making Class first, as this class doesn't cover candle making basics. It is specific to colour. It would be beneficial to have some experience in candle making before attending this class.
What you'll get

- A soap coloured with beautiful clay
- A layer soap using soap colour and blooms
What to bring
Aprons will be provided however as we are working with dyes, staining on clothes could occur so please wear appropriate clothing.

I have been making and teaching how to make candles for approximately 15 years. I have an online business where I sell some candle, soap making and bath milk supplies and DIY projects.
I have years of knowledge when it comes to all different types of waxes, candles, wicks and all the latest info when it comes to candle making. I can even point you to all the candle supplies and tips on starting your own candle business!
I really enjoy teaching and love watching peoples reactions as their creations evolve and they can see what they have created. The classes are small and personal in my workshop at my home and I tend to customise the class around the group and what they would like to learn. I have recently started online classes due to covid which has brought be so many beautiful international and interstate students.
