Hi, I'm Caroline and I design, create and share my love for the popular 70's fibre art, macrame.
I started my business over 5 years ago now, it is my full time job I literally live and breath macrame. Pretty Kooky Macrame designs are modern with a unique twist on this soothing craft. I have been teaching and running regular workshops for years now and I absolutely love it, there is no better feeling than students going home with such pride in the finished pieces.

This was a fun class, in which we got to walk out with a finished wall hanging. It looked quite complicated but Caroline broke it down in to steps. The class was nice and small so there was time for all of us to have individual attention to keep us on track and pick up on any mistakes before we got too far! All equipment was provided and we had a booklet to take home. I'd definitely recommend this class and it would be especially fun with a group of friends.

Amazing teacher, who has created a relaxed studio in her home.
It was a great beginners class. I came way with a gorgeous piece and enthusiasm to create more.

Caroline’s macramé workshop was amazing, I had so much fun. It was relaxing, cosy and Caroline was so welcoming.
She was wonderfully supportive and I enjoyed all her instruction and expertise in making a macrame piece.
Would highly recommend for a fun Saturday of creative fun.

We had an amazing time, the class was small so we all got alot of attention from Caroline. We enjoyed the energy, plants, snacks, wine and adorable doggies throughout the class. We had lots of laughs, learnt a new and wonderful skill and all left with our own wall hangings at the end of the day. Thank you so much for a great afternoon! Highly recommended :)

Caroline is an excellent tutor, with good communication and plenty of support when we 'got stuck'. The venue was set up well, with equipment and materials. The size of the class was great - five participants. Refreshments supplied as was a goodie back with descriptions of knots used. All in all it was a most enjoyable experience and one in which I have learnt something of a new craft skill. The class was structured well and participants went home with a finished project - all very encouraging.

Thoroughly enjoyed the class, went with a couple of girlfriends and we had a fantastic day. Caroline was very patient and very knowledgeable. Drinks and snacks were a lovely touch. We all walked away with a great piece. We’re all looking forward to doing more macramé. Thank you Caroline.

Caroline was so patient and a great teacher. I attended with my 12yr old daughter and she had no trouble following the instructions, in fact, she was the first to finish. I was concerned that 4 hrs would be too long for her but she can’t wait to do another course with Caroline.
The set up was fantastic and you had the ability to sit or stand. Caroline provided a lovely spread of fruit/muffins.
A really enjoyable 4hrs with such a lovely teacher, not to mention a beautiful wall hanging to take home! Caroline will be seeing us again soon! Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the class, great atmosphere, Caroline was lovely, even provided a glass of wine and food. My daughter and I had a great time, our piece's were beautiful, we definitely would recommend this class. Thank you so much, Hayley & Cheyenne.

The teacher was fantastic, very patient.
Can't believe I was able to create such a lovely macrame wall hanging by the end of the session. If you are looking for a great afternoon to learn a new skill and feel accomplished this is the course for you !

Caroline was the perfect teacher for a beginner macrame class. Her instructions were clear and she was very patient in assisting me. Caroline made the workshop very enjoyable.
The four hours hours seemed to go so quickly and I love my new wall hanging.

I had a fantastic time creating my wall hanging with extra help from Caroline. I have an acquired brain injury and needed a lot more help than what I thought I would need . She was so very patient with me and I have come home with a beautiful macrame masterpiece. I would definitely recommend pretty kooky to anyone wanting to do macrame. Thank you Caroline for the extra time I needed. You are the best teacher.

Caroline was very welcoming to her home studio. I really enjoyed the class, very well laid out and easy to understand. Very relaxed and casual, and I was very happy with My final wall hanging. Even though we went over time it was no trouble. Thanks Class Bento and Caroline!

Enjoyable few hours with Caroline, who was easy going, she also provided yummy cheese, dip and fruit platter oh not to forget wine too! Venue was like stepping back into a 70's eclectic home filled with stunning macrame wall hangings and beautiful hanging plants (of course in macrame holders!) would definitely recommend this course

Caroline was a fun teacher who created a friendly and relaxed environment.
I was completely amazed that I created a stunning wall hanging under Caroline’s teaching and also came away having a basic understanding to be able create macrame at home.
This class was great value!
