We really enjoyed this class. We were taken through the steps of making a stained glass sun catcher from design to cleaning and polishing. Our teacher was warm, patient and informative and made the whole experience fun. We were shown and practiced new skills including cutting glass and soldering and had our own pieces to take home. Lost count how many times I've attended this class! Originally I was following a design Hideko had on display, but at the end before I've attached all the bits together, I had another idea. And the teacher was happy and allowed me to change. We've done a bit of scoring (cutting glass) too into a teardrop- first time doing that. Very unique. Love how the whole thing turned out!

Hideko is a warm and patient teacher who guides you through creating a beautiful macramé piece you can be proud to hang in your home.
She is also very hospitable, providing snacks and warm tea or water, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
It was wonderful to create something with my hands, switch off from the world, and I would highly recommend this workshop.

We completed the Sun Catcher class with stained glass making and our teacher was Hideko. The class was all set up when we arrived and the class was personalised and ready to start when we were.
The materials that were provided were easily accessible, well in reach and in variety for an expansive choice.
The tools we had to use were clearly explained, simple to use for first timers and given to each person to ensure access and ease of class flow.
Hideko was extremely clear in explaining each step and sprinkled humour throughout the class. Her calm and patient tone made the class feel comfortable and no mistakes or questions felt too silly. She connected with each of us on a personal note, making a point of learning each persons name and ensuring that they felt comfortable in the space.
Overall the class was fantastic, everyone walked away from the session feeling successful and like they had spent 1 hour in a room rather than 5. Very accessible and good for first timers along with someone with some experience aswell.
Thankyou Hideko, will definitely look at returning.

This was Camilla's third time doing this class



Enjoyed a lovely morning with Hideko making a sun catcher. She had a range of glass with different colours and patterns set out on the table for me to choose. With her help I was able to make two sun catchers, but we did finish a bit later cos I was tired towards the end. I pinned down the glass into position on a cork board, then later soldered them together. Time went by really quickly as I was having fun.

We did the macramé hanger class as a group of five girls and it was absolutely perfect. I’m not very handy, but the teacher was amazing and had plenty of time to give individual tips and help whenever we needed it. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun — we were chatting and laughing the whole time. From start to finish, it was an awesome class and such a great experience.
