Are you looking for fun things to do in Melbourne for a birthday party or corporate team-building activity? In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn all about chocolate making and create your own sweet treats!

Upon arriving at this class, you'll be greeted with a glass of freshly made hot chocolate to enjoy. From there, your teacher, an expert chocolatier, will provide an introduction to the process of chocolate making. Then, you'll enjoy a chocolate tasting.

With your palate primed, your teacher will then show you the ins and outs of chocolate making, .using the highest quality European chocolate.

Throughout this class, you will learn:

  • How to make Parisian style hot chocolate
  • How to temper chocolate
  • Moulding a chocolate bar
  • How to make the ganache filling
  • Four different chocolate bar techniques

When it's time to leave, you'll get to take with you your custom chocolate creations to enjoy at home!

Materials used in this workshop contain nuts, dairy and gluten. Please contact us prior to booking if you have special dietary requirements.

I have been passionate about chocolate all my life. With a keen eye for detail, I have devoted myself to creating superb chocolate and patisserie creations that taste as good as they look. After working in London, Zurich, Berlin and Munich, I passed my Master Degree as Dux of 2000 Master. In 2004, I arrived in Australia and joined the then newly established Koko Black, being one of the main drivers to grow the brand to 6 stores. In 2008, I opened Ganache Chocolate with heart and soul, growing a well-known brand in Australia with 3 stores. I also established a chocolate school in my kitchen and demonstrated chocolate classes and events for corporate companies.
I was chosen to appear on The Shark Tank and joined forces with Selenes Chocolate in 2018 and existing in 2020.

Arno is a very experienced master chocolatier and the venue is very Melbourne-esque situated in a laneway with milk crates for seats. We had a hot chocolate to begin with and many morsels of delicious varieties of high quality chocolate. We then tempered some chocolate to pour into our chocolate bar moulds decorating with ganache(which he showed us how to make) candied orange, mandarin, sultanas, hazelnuts among other things. Time well spent.

Arno is a fantastic teacher and Master chocolatier. I really enjoyed this class, it was so much fun creating chocolate bars and learning the origins of chocolate. I found it very interesting.
