Creative Encounters grew out of a deep, abiding love of writing and a desire to share it.

After years of teaching creative writing in schools and universities, watching students surprise themselves, exceed their own expectations, and discover a creative confidence they didn't know they had, the spark for something broader took hold. A study tour through New York and Barcelona, exploring creativity in some of the world's most imaginative cities, turned that spark into a flame.

The result is Creative Encounters: a highly original programme of courses designed to bring the joy, challenge, and transformation of creative writing to everyone who's ever wanted to tell a story, whatever their age, experience, or starting point.
