In this casual course, you will be able to explore the many health and wellbeing benefits of one of the world's oldest crafts. You'll learn the fundamentals of crochet, from how to hold and hook your yarn, start a chain, make basic stitches, count stitches and rows and read patterns.
What you'll learn:
- The basic three crochet stitches (double crochet, half treble crochet, treble crochet)
- How to make a granny square
- How to change colours on a project
- Introducing how to make circles in crochet
- Ideas for making simple gifts, small and large projects
- What online resources you can use and a practical guide to yarn buying
- How to finish off your piece
This course is intended for absolute beginners. You will be able to work on various projects and complete the course with ideas for how to make a bag, gloves or a scarf. At the end of the course, you can challenge yourself to use all ten fingers at once and relax into a mindful, rhythmic activity at the same time.All students must be over 18+ years of age.
