What you'll do
Join Rebel Stepz and discover the history of Egypt through drawing and pattern design in this live streaming class!
Drawing on her family heritage, your teacher Sheena will open the class with a brief history of Egypt. Then using a colourful slide show, we'll take inspiration from the traditional colours and folklore whilst finding out some interesting facts that will help shape our pieces.
We'll then move on to sketching our characters! Sheena will guide you through easy to follow steps so you can create two pieces inspired by a Pharaoh and Cleopatra.
We'll experiment with traditional Egyptian patterns and colours, adding these to our portraits so we can bring our work to life.
This class is a part of Rebel Stepz's three-week online cultural art program. Tickets are available for this individual class or you can grab a discounted three-week pass which allows you access to all three workshops.

What to bring
Paper, pencils (coloured and uncoloured). Feel free to use crayons, felt tip pens, chalk, pastels, paints and other mediums of choice.
