You can add these when you book (optional).
All the fun of screen printing at home without any of the hassle of the setup. This means you don't need a fully equipped studio but rather a table/print space, access to water and your lovely enthusiastic self.

This is the basics package, you will receive:
- 1 x approx 25cm-35cm screen with your own 1 colour design pre-made onto the screen.
- 1 x squeegee

Please note: 40-50cm screens are available for larger designs. This will cost $22 more. Please get in touch if you'd prefer the larger screen.

What you need to do:
Please get in touch with your design so I can advise you if it will translate onto screen well. I recommend simple linework/ solid shapes/ silhouettes for beginners. You will need to email your design to me as a black design on a white background and provide sizing details. You're welcome to pop up 1 x A3 or 2 x A4 designs on the same screen or the equivalent.

What you'll need
- Products to print onto. For eg. fabric swatches, paper/card, tees, totes, tea towels etc...
- Printing inks
- Spatula or spoon for placing ink on and off the screen
- Access to water (a bucket and sponge will do to clean up the ink afterward)
- Gloves
- Print table and an area to place freshly printed items
- Tape and scissors and scrap paper to tape out designs in the case of multiple designs on the same screen.
- Towel (rags in case you're enthusiastic and get a little messy..) Please wear old clothes.

Knowledge Required
It's best to have some understanding of screen printing for the basics DIY kit but if you're a complete beginner do not fret I recommend booking my online tutorial option.

9 years experience in screen printing

4.9 (121)

I’ve been facilitating open to the public DIY screen-printing studios in Sydney for the past 9 years across a few independent creative spaces such as Anyplace studios in Rozelle, Blackwire records in Annandale and currently run The Printroom out of Monster Mouse Studios in the industrial landscape of Marrickville.

I studied textile design at the Eastern Sydney Institute of Technology and instead of being disheartened by the move of hand printing to digital forms and sitting behind a computer all day, I decided to start my own studio. This could not have been achieved without the support and head start afforded to me by Anyplace projects - a group of folks who reclaimed unused buildings and transformed them into creative community driven spaces.

I spend most of my time teaching people how to screen print, Shibori dye fabrics and other surface design techniques. I print a lot of band merch for friends and friends I haven’t met, and help run Monster Mouse Studios as well as work on my own artistic practice.
