Drawing Class for Beginners

Learn how to draw step by step for beginners

1.5 hours Class size 12 to 40     label $40

If you think you’re totally hopeless at putting pen to paper, think again. Learning to draw is easier than you think, even for those whose artistic abilities seem non-existent. In this workshop, we’ll cover everything from holding a pencil correctly to tackling perspective and proportions.

First, you’ll learn about sketching basics and simplifying objects, learning to view them clearly in their essential parts. Then we’ll move through shading techniques to create dimension and proportions.

This is a judgment-free, casual class designed for making mistakes, experimenting, and discovering a talent you didn’t know you had. Explore your creativity in a fun and loose class where you’ll build artistic confidence and nail some fundamental sketching skills.

Pick up a pen and make some new friends; you’ll be sketching in no time.

Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.

Sally is a wonderful teacher, very patient and friendly, and her instructions are clear and easy to follow.
The ladies all had a wonderful time unleashing their creativity and taking time out for themselves for a little while. It was great to see everyone relaxing & enjoying themselves, which is so very important in these current, difficult times.
Thank you Sally :-)

This was a very helpful beginner’s class. It included techniques to help with some basic drawing and shading skills. The progression through the technique exercises was clear and achievable. There was also an opportunity to start your own drawing. As an absolute beginner I appreciated the structure and information in the class.
