What you'll do
In this hands-on Sydney school holidays class, children will create their own sculpted masterpiece from e-waste under the guidance of talented assemblage artist Fiona Arnold who has over 30 years as a community artist.
During the class, the children will learn about balance and how to manipulate materials to create artistic form. Whether sorted by colour, shape, or material or not at all, the children will emerge with a new appreciation for sculpture and reuse resources. And they might even discover some of the old technologies like cassette tapes and floppy disks!
This Sydney school holidays class is suitable for children over ten years old. If you are looking for school holiday activities in Sydney, then this is perfect!
Please note: We encourage parents/carers to advise us of a child’s special needs so we can assess whether we need to adapt any part of the workshop or request the parents/carers to stay.
