Eco Leaf Christmas Card Printmaking Workshop

Looking for a unique way to spend Saturday morning in Fremantle this festive season? If you are a nature and art lover who is wondering what to give your friends and family for Christmas, here is the perfect solution! How about making your own Eco cards and artworks using fascinating printmaking techniques in this workshop?

Printmaking involves very specific and patient procedures, but with this beginner-friendly workshop, you will be introduced to an uncomplicated, more spontaneous way to make beautiful prints. Eco leaf printmaking is a great way to connect to nature and learn the basics of printmaking and is very meditative and enjoyable.

We will start the class with morning tea in a beautiful central space at Fibonacci Centre. Then we will choose leaves from what we provide. If you have any leaves you would like to print, you are also welcome to bring them in (leaves have to be flat and smaller than A6 size).

You will be printing on A6 sized paper, the standard postcard and photo size, so you can use your prints for Christmas cards or you can simply put them in photo frames. You can expect to make around five to 10 card size art work, but if you're super speedy, you may even make more!

The best part about this workshop is that it requires no special skills. The procedures are simple and meditative, the perfect way to unwind after the busy week.

• An old book to dry and flatten your artwork (A5 or bigger)
• Leaves (optional - leaves have to be flat and smaller than A6 size)
• Please wear a pair of closed shoes
