What you'll do
Explore the wonderful world of botanicals with this contact eco-printing workshop in Subiaco! You will learn how to eco-print your own botanical print design on a silky and soft cushion cover to compliment your interior design with a unique mother nature look.
This fun workshop will suit all levels from beginners to creatives who are enthusiastic about exploring this intriguing knowledge of printing with plants and flowers on fabric in an environmentally friendly way.
Eco-printing with botanicals combines the art of science to pose a mystery of creativity. This workshop enables you to explore a contact eco-printing with Tatiana to achieve beautiful outcomes. You will get to enjoy a full day of diving into the printing process, with breaks sprinkled in, as you wait for your masterpiece to steam.
By the end of the workshop, your steamed cushion cover bundle will be ready to unwrap, a little gift from nature, waiting to show you its mysteries, like a present under the tree. Celebrate your results with a glass of bubbles and leave Tatiana's studio with awesome knowledge of eco-printing and a unique cushion cover printed with botanicals made entirely by you.
The eco-printing technique includes many important stages, so your teacher Tatiana will give each student as much attention as possible to achieve great results and fall in love with this magical process.
Knowledge required
No experience in eco-printing needed.
What you'll get
- Cushion cover 50x50 cm specially pretreated for the eco-printing process and custom-made by Tatiana's Fashion studio from a good quality cotton/silk/linen fabric.
- A range of different plants and flowers pretreated and fresh will be provided.
- Natural dyes extracted from leaves, flowers, barks to use in the eco-printing process.
- The teacher will provide everything you will need for this workshop.
What to bring
- Bring your friendly attitude and desire to learn eco-printing magic and experiment at home more!
- Tatiana will provide tea, coffee, and treats and you welcome to bring your lunch box or go to the cafe (next door from the venue) on Rokeby road on your 40 min break.
- As printing with botanicals can be messy, maybe don't wear your best clothes and Tatiana provides you with aprons.

With 30 years of experience under her belt, she has been running Tatiana's Fashion Studio in Perth for over 10 years, producing patterns and samples for Australian designers seasonal collections.
Her client portfolio ranges from Australia’s crème de le crème: Aurelio Costarella, Ruth Tarvydas, Jonte Designs, Poppy Lissiman, Natalie Rolt as well as many emerging Australian designers.
Tatiana's skills and experience allows her to create any dream gown for her custom-designed orders. Tatiana has always been very passionate about sustainable fashion, so eco-printing with botanicals is one of her passions. She decided to create and run at her studio a series of eco-printing with plants workshops, to engage people with a similar passion to save the planet!
