What you'll do
If you are looking for unique things to do in Sydney and have always wanted to give black and white photography a crack, why not join Sydney Photography Lessons and learn how to capture the city at dusk.
The way we see life is incredibly different and when we strip away the distractions of colour, we can more closely focus on shape and the way light illuminates and surrounds those shapes. The image you're left with is often more powerful when reduced to this simpler language.
If this style of photography interests you, then join Joe for a walk around the inner streets of Sydney, focusing on the area from Town Hall to Central Station.
We will be using our cameras in a few settings, so on the evening you'll learn how adjusting exposure can change the mood and feel of the photo and you'll also gain a better understanding of the importance of adjusting ISO as daylight diminishes.
Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the class commences.

I have run photography courses and camera workshops for some of the world's largest camera companies including NIKON, Canon, Sony, Olympus and Paxtons camera stores and my passion is to open up the fascinating world of photography to enthusiasts and professionals alike. A photography course should be a fun, rewarding experience. My aim is that you'll walk away feeling excited about photography and wanting to get out there and capture awesome images.
Some of you have probably seen me spruik OLYMPUS cameras on television with shopping channel greats Moira and Peter Mason. My photography show on 2GB was a staple of information for many photographers on a Saturday night with Murray Whilton and Glenn Wheeler also.
I have been brushed with such luck that I can share the love of photography with a wide range of people with the help of OLYMPUS Australia. I have used OLYMPUS cameras for as long as I can remember but also very lucky to be accessible to the latest models from Fujifilm, Pentax, Sony, Lumix, Canon and Nikon cameras and numerous lens brands also.
I am so privileged that I get a chance to help people enjoy the world of digital photography and the technology surrounding it!
