Buyer beware: you might just come away with a new hobby and burning desire to get a pressure canner. This was a fantastic, hands on workshop to start learning the basics of water bathing and pressure canning. Kaye, the teacher, was enthusiastic and warm with plenty of knowledge from her experience preserving to share. Each participant was able to complete each part of the process, enabling us to grow confident in handling the equipment. She also provided us with wonderful resource to start our own journey - including recipes, cook book and equipment recommendations, with a set of jars to boot! There was a delicious spread of home preserved food including kale and sweet potato chips, Mexican dehydrated seed crackers and dip with a delicious side of pears. Lunch was also assembled in minutes, a Thai green chicken curry with a vegan bean mix, demonstrating the versatility of canned produce, including meat. I highly recommend attending this class, if you have even an inclining of interest or a home garden with too many tomatoes! I will be checking out the other workshops available and putting them in my calendar.

I was so excited to get a place for the class and thoroughly enjoyed it!
I didn't know much about dehydration and was keen to learn. It's such a simple process and the food preparation is very therapeutic. I had sooooo many questions and Kaye was eager to share her knowledge and give extra tips and ideas along the way.
I've already added the veggie samples Kaye gave me to bolognaise sauce and we enjoyed the deeper flavour it infused.
If you love cooking and food preparation, you'll love this class.
Now I'm looking forward to putting into practice what I've learned and having extra flavour to add to cooking and healthy snacks on hand.

My son gifted me with my gift card and I'm so grateful as I found this so helpful. Kaye was delightful and gave such detailed instructions on how to make gluten free bread and a sourdough starter. Kaye’s gluten free sourdough class was amazing. From the moment I entered her home I felt welcome and relaxed in the wholesome setting. The tutorials are really easy to follow and I enjoyed getting involved. The best part was eating the bread with a nourishing bowl of soup Kaye had prepared for us! My starter has been going well at home and my first bake came out great thanks to Kaye’s guidance. I made my first GF vegan loaf of bread after the class and wow I love my new skills. Class was fun. Take lots of notes and photos as I relied on these to make it at home. Can buy most of the ingredients at KFL in Springvale. Protein powder from Chemist warehouse Mentone. Can get Kosha salt from Benedikt imports Cheltenham. Teacher was lovely too thank you for such a lovely learning experience. Photo of my sourdough I made at home. Still need to have a go at artisan loaf. Just finished my lunch of home made tomato soup with my own baked vegan GF bread- delicious
