We teach every aspect of pottery from introductory workshops through to masterclasses.
At Firebird Studios we are so proud of the quality of work and the quality of potter that we have created. Our combined wealth of experience in the team is such an inspiration to many in our community. The teachers are all so pleased to pass on their knowledge to the students coming through our doors... They willingly give of themselves from their experience - from various artistic backgrounds - and add greatly to our offerings.
We are motivated by encouraging our students to explore their creativity and to bring out their own style. Creativity is the core of our teaching, with technical expertise incorporated to achieve a professional standard!

What a great few hours! My very first pottery experience. THIS WAS SO FUN and so grounding. I went in excited but trepidacious about how I would go. Came out energised, accomplished, and proud of learning a new skill and making things of beauty that did not exist before my hands made them.

Dani was patient knowledgeable and such a great teacher!
If you are looking for a fun creative outlet, definitely do this! And the dirtier you'll get the more fun you're going to have

Had a great time at Firebird Studio, was very lucky to receive this voucher as a Christmas gift. Had two great teachers who went through a run through of all the steps to see what we were working towards. We set off to our stations and went through each step for our fist piece. If someone fell behind the a teacher came over and guided us on what to do next. We all made 3 pieces mainly saucers, bowls or cups of some sort, and we were all proud of our pieces, even if some had a little character. Highly recommend, had a great time and already looking into more courses that they offer!

Absolutely loved our experience at Firebird Studios Burleigh Heads! Marnie was our patient teacher and did a wonderful job helping our Hens Party of 9 to create the most amazing breakfast sets- a plate and mug! We were all raving about it for hours after. It was fun ,relaxed and easy which we credit from the experience and guidance of Marnie! Thank you for being apart of making our weekend one to remember and we look forward to collecting our masterpieces!
Booking and communication was a breeze and made by a lovely reception on arrival!

My 15yo daughter and I had our first pottery lesson and the teacher was so patient and encouraging, she never made anyone feel their work wasn’t good
I physically couldn’t roll very well and she helped me
Explanations were clear and was happy to explain again
We loved our finished project

A Christmas present to my mom and we all loved our time. Lots of laughs and a great experience. Hopefully our finished products come out of the kiln well! Would definitely do it again

The teacher was amazing - so knowledgeable and supportive Venue has great access and is full of beautiful creations. Feel very lucky we were able to make so many items on the wheel! Absolutely value for money! Would love to do this again very soon. I would have loved to stay all day!

A great spaces for an intimate class experience. We had a private session with Dani with team of 5 pax, which turns out to be one of the best team building activities we tried. Under Dani's professional and detailed guidance, we successfully created a few unique pieces of each own (none of us had any experience before). It was super fun and enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Our teacher was fantastic and very helpful. We each made three items each which I was really happy with, felt like great value for money. The instruction was really clear and helpful, I felt like we all improved a lot by the end. I can't wait to go pick up my finished pieces in a few weeks!

Such an amazing workshop. It is one of the best workshop I have attended. Dani the teacher is amazing. She is very patient and kind. She explains very well - providing realistic expectations, clear instructions, shown great techniques in person, provides tips and all the dos and don'ts. I enjoyed the class thoroughly. She also ensures that everyone have made enough for the amount of time we are there. Definitely highly recommended and I will be looking into joining the 5 weeks pottery class soon.

What a great experience for our motley crew! The instructor was extremely warm, accommodating and professional as we mucked around and laughed at our amateur efforts. Time flew and the only critique was that we felt we needed maybe another hour to properly experiment with our new foundations. Overall, highly recommended experience for a gaggling group of friends! Thank you.
