Flower Crown and Natural Wall Hanging Class for Kids

Get your little one to make a fun wall hanging and flower crown in Sydney

6+ years & Adults     2 hours Class size 8 to 15 guests     $90
Looking for a creative activity these school holidays? Let your kids experience the joy of working with natural materials in this two-hour Sydney workshop with Suzanne, the crafty florist.
Using a foraged branch as the base, we’ll make a unique hanging design using collected and fun materials. Incorporating dried citrus, feathers and interesting dried flowers, watch the design come to life! Let’s add colour by making wool pom poms too.
Next up learn new skills and make a pretty flower crown with fresh and dried flowers.
We will attach the flowers onto a wire headpiece and finish off with ribbon, exactly like a florist does. Does your little person love glitter – let’s use some gum nuts and leaves with sparkle!
This will teach dexterity with their hands and design skills working with symmetry, balance and shape. Who doesn’t love a photoshoot at the end and a fashion show?
Please bring a cool foraged branch, a maximum length of 60cm and any favourite foraged things from your garden.

My name is Jen and I am passionate about encouraging creativity in students of all ages.
Creative Kids Co was founded 11 years ago as a way to encourage and guide children through their own artistic journeys.
I am also the co-creator of IMOK (Art, T-shirts & Design), established in 2004, which opened up the door to commission and exhibit my own artworks, complete illustrations for a series of books, as well as sell my wares at design markets nationwide. I have also held live art demonstrations and was the featured artist with US Surf/Skate Company Volcom.
My current passion is working with resin and urban illustration.
Most recently I have opened Creative Corner Studio in Dulwich Hill, an exciting space hosting all things creative for kids and adults. Reach out and let’s create together.
