What you'll do

BYO Wine and Nibbles! Such a fun workshop!
In this 2 1/2 hour class Di Kelly will be demonstrating each stage of painting the rooster using pallet knives and brushes. You can decide what look you would like your chook painted in plus which type of background you would like to paint. Maybe you will prefer a simple white backgrounder you may love to have the rooster sitting in the grass. Your choice on the night. Maybe you would like to just use pallet knife strokes with the paint very thickly mixed with the impasto medium or maybe you would prefer to use brushes or even both!! Di will be helping everyone individually as well. Plus you will also learn how to mix the gorgeous colours for the chook.

Being a 2 1/2 hour class you leave with your ready to hang 'Mr Chook'

Not only will the chook make a wonderful painting to hang in a kitchen etc you could even decide to gift it to a child for their bedroom or even a beautiful birth present for a very special baby. I will show you how to neatly write the baby's name and date of the birth.

Dianne Kelly is a Brisbane born-and-based professional watercolour artist.

Di was originally trained in commercial/fine art, working in advertising before pursuing her absolute love and sharing her passion for watercolour painting.

Di is still teaching 32 years later and has now fulfilled her dream of writing her first book, The Art of Watering Colour. Over the years, Di has had several of her paintings published as limited edition prints, as well as producing several ranges of gift cards featuring watercolour images from her overseas travels.

Di’s works hang in collections around Australia and overseas and are currently being incorporated into her new range of fabrics and wallpapers and swimwear.
