Such a brilliant class! We booked a private class for a creative catchup with a bunch of friends. This was our second class, after doing the Recycled Tumbler workshop earlier this year. I can't recommend this class highly enough! Lisa has the perfect balance of guidance and encouragement, making sure we don't injure ourselves while giving us the freedom to get completely carried away creatively. So much fun and I love every single creation!
This was such a fun class, Lisa provided great suggestions and guidance to make the glass heart. I certainly will be taking another class in the future
Another great class with Lisa at the Glass Room. The class challenged me to stretch skills from previous classes and learn how to use new tools. Really happy with the earrings I made.
I can’t rate this class highly enough. Lisa is an engaged, passionate and patient teacher who meet participants at their skill level and adjusts accordingly. The workshop is beautifully set up and the materials an excellent quality. I’ll be booking more workshops with her in future.
This was the second time doing the coral bowl class. This time I did the large bowl and played with an idea that I had seen online, so not quite the same as other coral bowls in the class. Love the finished product and I’m sure I’ll be back again.
As always a really lovely experience. Lisa is such a brilliant teacher. Encouraging everyone’s creativity and answering all our questions. It’s such a relaxing time. Great for individuals, couples and groups of friends.
What an amazing experience, such a great teacher and great opportunity to learn a new skill in such a great environment. Very excited to see how my concept turns out
Lisa is a very engaging teacher and the class was great fun and very hands on - we toured the studio and learnt how to cut and grind glass as well as create lovely light catchers to be kiln fired and taken home. All materials and safety equipment provided.
Such a wonderful experience. Lisa is a great teacher; she’s very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. I had a fantastic time and came away with a new appreciation for glasswork!
Another fantastic workshop with Lisa at the Glass Room. This time making a coral bowl. Really happy with how it turned out and my next workshop is already booked.
The class was really interesting and relaxing. Perfect mix of learning a bit about the glass making process, and then letting your creativity run wild. Lisa was great at explaining the techniques clearly and simply and offering tips and tricks. I’m looking forward to doing another class with her in the future.
Lisa was a fantastic teacher, the studio had everything you need to create your own masterpiece to take home. We had a fabulous time, already looking for another class to do.
This was the second time attending a class at the Glass Room Canberra. This time I made a fused glass lantern, which was great fun. Lisa had everything we needed, and the process was straightforward and well organised. It did help to go in with an idea for what I wanted to do, otherwise the choices and options can be a bit overwhelming!
Another great workshop with Lisa at the Glass Room. The fused glass lantern gives you four ‘canvases’ to display your designs. There is a variety of glass available to choose from and you also learn how to cut pieces to what you need. Having now done the fused glass bowl and lantern workshops I’m planning to head back to do the coral bowl workshop too.
Nine of us recently participated in a private fused glass bowl workshop. It was excellent and we all had a great time! Lisa was helpful and patient, but at the same time she gave us space to enable us work on our own pieces without any pressure. Not only was it lots of fun, but it was also fabulous seeing the variety of designs created within the group. The finished products look amazing! Thank you Lisa!
Lisa was super knowledgeable and very generous with her experience and support. We leaned so much about glass and how to manipulate it and left with 10 new recycled vases and tumblers. Just excellent! We’ll be back for the tile workshop!
Lisa is a fabulous teacher who really knows how to make you feel relaxed and confident. I would highly recommend one of her classes to anyone and I will definitely be back.
The class was a lot of fun. Lisa is extremely knowledgable and an excellent teacher and kept the class fun and light while letting us experiment and be as creative as we wanted. It was an excellent class and I look forward to doing others!
A group of 6 of us had an amazing time creating glass bowls. It was a celebration of us all turning 60 over the past 12 months and now we have something to remember the occasion. Lisa (our teacher) was fabulous - sharing her skills and expertise to ensure we all produced a beautiful bowl. Highly recommended. (We will be back to do other classes with her)
Lisa was an excellent instructor, she has a beautiful studio space and it was easy to find with the instructions. My daughter (8) and I really enjoyed the class as we found it relaxing and creative. It was an excellent activity to do together. We will be back to try different options!
i loved all the colours available, i chose mid century style colours which i loved!! (especially the teal, mustard and purple!). and i got to make two glass sun catchers, i can’t wait to see them! thankyou Lisa!
I attended one of the first classes a couple of years ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Two years on the chance to cut and grind glass, know about different kiln techniques, and know about layering glass to achieve different results made the experience, and the art, even better. Highly recommend.
I bought the class as an 'experience' gift for my niece. We went together. The class was relaxing, and a simple concept to create something beautiful. Lisa, the teacher, ensured we all challenged ourselves learning how to cut glass. Some of our classmates were return visitors and I understand why. Everyone's light catchers were unique and beautiful, even before firing. I'm looking forward to picking ours up.
Our teacher Lisa was very knowledgeable, warm, and patient. We learnt new skills in glass cutting and glass fusing, while creating beautiful pieces. Thanks for a wonderful morning
What a fantastic class. Lisa is truly lovely, such a good teacher and so helpful. It was relaxing, fun and even made me feelA tiny bit artistic!I highly recommend it.
A great introduction to glass fusion art by Lisa Cahill. An informative teacher who is passionate about her art and this is evident at her workshop and classes.
Lisa's class is a whole lot of fun! We both enjoyed making tumblers out of the recycled glass bottles. To get the most out of this class, make sure you bring some bottles with interesting bases.
Lisa's class was fun and really well suited to anyone who hasn't done any glass work before. She was really approachable and offered a lot of experience and guidance throughout the class. Highly recommend trying these out, I can't wait to book my next session!
A knowledgeable and patient teacher in a well-equipped glass studio for teaching. For this workshop we made glass jewellry with lots of colours to choose from. In 2.5 hours, we learned to cut glass, grind it, drill it, paint it and combine it for fusion.I liked that the class was small (only 4) so we each got lots of attention from the Lisa (the teacher). And we got to do our own creations, not follow a template or guideline.Looking forward to my post-firing earrings (3 pair) and a brooch.
Lisa is such a friendly and talented artist and shared so many tips and tricks! I absolutely loved making my light catchers and have so many ideas now that I know what's possible. I'll definitely be coming back for more classes
Such a great activity! Lisa is super talented and knowledgable. Was a great way to spend some time with friends and we all have a cute momento to remind us of the time together.
