Cristina was a very passionate and engaging teacher, knowledgeable about every step of the process, even explaining the food science behind stirring ingredients in one direction!

Hand kneading our pork bun dough was fun and seeing them come out so well felt great, all the dishes are delicious, definitely going to make them at home.

Cristina was so nice and spoke so well about her cooking heritage and her desire to share that knowledge. She was a pleasure to listen to and her demonstrations were clear and easy to follow. From 14 to 87 years old, we all managed to make our dumplings and thoroughly enjoyed eating the result of Cristina's cooking them for us. She and Chris (husband helper) were a great team, clearing, cleaning and packing away so that venue (in my lifestyle village) was left in perfect condition.

Instead of giving Christmas presents, it was a great family activity, creating lovely lasting memories!

It was a delight to have Cristina teach us how to make dumplings (again). The recipes she shared were family recipes and were all delicious. Cristina catered for all of our dietary needs and then she cooked all of dumplings to perfection. Highly recommend Cristina to anyone interested in having a special and enjoyable gathering with friends or family. Thank you so much for all of the behind the scenes tasks like helping keeping our kitchen tidy and making it an ideal way to entertain at home and not to have to worry about a mess afterwards. We're already thinking about our next lesson and will only go back to Cristina because she is the best!

Cristina’s Taiwanese classes are always amazing. The classes include cultural information, techniques and food science, as well as making and eating delicious food. In this class we made Pineapple cakes, red bean mooncakes. We learnt how to laminate the dough to create many layers. Highly recommend all of Ms Cristina's classes.

Taiwanese Pepper Bun Class with Drink Pairings and Dinner

Gluten Free Taiwanese Banquet Cooking Class

Cristina facilitated an excellent in-house cooking class for a group of us in our office kitchen space. Cristina was a fantastic instructor and very engaging. The set up worked perfectly and the event was extra special being able to host it within our workplace after work. Everyone had a blast! Make Vegan Char Siu at Home

Today we had Christina’s spring menu which shouldn’t be confused with the winter menu that features the crowd pleaser beef noodle soup. Even though we weren’t fortunate enough to taste her famous beef noodle soup we did try some of her other dishes that were tasty and flavourful particularly since we kneaded the dough with our own hands. Pork belly bao buns, mapo tofu, beancurd veggie salad and custard buns for dessert. Tantalising few hours of preparation certainly gives you a good appetite and we all left with happy full bellies.

Our family and friends had a great time learning how to make dumplings from our fantastic tutor Cristina. She helped make it a memorable experience and we tried two different vegetarian options that were delicious as well learning different methods of folding dumplings. I highly recommend having a private class because we were able to enjoy ourselves and feel relaxed in the comfort of our own home. Cristina is a wonderful cook and helped with finishing the remaining dumplings we made while we feasted on waaaaay too many dumplings. Our four year old daughter joined us and she loved participating and became quickly fond of Cristina. Much thanks to Cristina.

Christina is so warm and lovely and generous with her expertise. Born in Argentina and raised in Canada with Taiwanese roots, she shares food from her cultural heritage with us today. We made three different savoury and sweet moon cakes. One with mung bean pork filling, adzuki bean filling and daikon relish. Always ready to help and save your pastry when you are in strife. The trick is not to be too liberal with flour. She runs other Taiwanese cuisine classes too and I’m looking forward to another one of her delicious classes.

Cristina is an enthusiastic and engaging cooking instructor. Each cooking stage was explained well. I particularly adored the texture of the spring onion pancakes and the dough rolling technique used to create layers. Take home recipes were provided. Cristina was lots of fun and I feel like I learnt a lot in her class. You can tell that she is a teacher in her day job as she is very relaxed during the class and manages everyone well. The food was delicious and I’ve come away with lots of new things to try and more confidence with Taiwanese cuisine. The noodles were amazing but I’m really keen to make lots of mochi at home.

I had a great time with the lovely Cristina. She was very welcoming and bubbly, creating a fun atmosphere in the cute and intimate Brunswick Kitchen. The fact that Cristina runs a class with only 10 people means that she had lots of time to speak to all of us and share lots of little cooking tricks.

The food was delicious and I was really pleased with how my spring onion pancake turned out! It was really nice to finish the class by having our beef noodle soup and mochi all together as a group.

Cristina was amazing! She knows so much about Taiwanese food and culture, it was such an amazing experience where we could make food and take some home, we learned so many new tricks and new products to use in our everyday cooking. And the best part was that we got to eat a delicious dinner at the end. The venue was amazing, we had all the tools provided plus a super fancy apron, it was definitely good value, would recommend to anyone who likes cooking or just eating good food. Five stars

Cristina is friendly, patient and a great teacher. She came to us to deliver the dumplings masterclass. Cristina provided all the food and equipment. We enjoyed the experience, making the filling, learning how to fold dumplings into different shapes, how to cook them and make an authentic dipping sauce. This was a comprehensive workshop on Asian pastry making. Cristina broke down the learning for us really well by demonstrating each step before we made our attempts. Cristina was then available for one on one advice as she circulated around the room.

The fact that Cristina's family was part of this workshop was a particular highlight and her mum gave me some useful tips. I would definitely recommend Cristina's classes to anyone keen on authentic Taiwanese cuisine.
