Hi, we are Australian Sisters living on opposites of sides of our big beautiful country, one on the East coast the other on the West. We have a combined background in fashion, design, recycled glass art, and a love for DIY projects, power tools and arts and crafts. Now, we have a shared love for rug tufting, creating handmade wall hangings and soft furnishings for your home.
Get Tuft was established in 2020 after a conversation about these 'things' called tufting guns. Machines that look like weapons from a 1980s movie, that shoot yarn into fabric with a 'pew pew' of the trigger and bam, now we're making awesome stuff.
Our minds simultaneously exploded with possibilities and chaotic creativity ensued. With the words of the great pop artist Andy Warhol in our heads, we adopted his quote as a mantra:
"Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad. While they are deciding, make even more art."

The class was a good opportunity to try tufting and overall I'm super happy I booked! It was quite challenging on the body but also everyone is different so that's to be expected, and maybe some options/specific information or details about the venue and seating etc could have helped. I always have lots of questions so I was appreciative of being able to email beforehand, and jump in during the workshop. Super glad with my new rug and as promised *it all came together in the end* and they were able to help me finish my rug despite running over time. Thank you!
