6.5 hours Class size 1 to 3     label $295

Looking for unique gift experiences or Perth activities? Look no further than Jennie Merritt's beginner-friendly glass bead making workshop where you can learn new skills and make new memories with loved ones.

In this one day workshop, you will learn how to melt glass rods using a torch flame to create unique beads guided by an expert. You'll begin with a safety introduction, and then you'll learn techniques to use gravity and tools to manipulate and shape glass into unique beads.

From round beads to doughnut-shaped beads, bicone and pressed beads, there's a whole range of shapes for you to try and craft. You'll also get to use fun tools to create leaves, flowers and hearts and add crushed glass frit for extra colour.

At the end of the day, you will have a selection of beads that can be kept as decorations or work them into a unique piece of jewellery, the sky's the limit!

Relax and enjoy the meditative process of learning a new skill in a fun and enjoyable environment. Not only will you end up with new pieces to take home, but you'll also get to connect with like-minded people and make some fun memories too.

Please note: The beads you make in the workshop will be annealed in a kiln for durability and strength. You can then either collect them or have them posted for a small extra charge.
