What you'll do
Looking for exciting activities for kids and teens during the school holidays in Brisbane? Let them take a trip around the world with food in this two-and-a-half-hour cooking class! They will learn how to cook some delicious lunch meals from around the globe and meet other budding chefs.
In this healthy cooking class, kids and teens will develop culinary skills, learn how to use kitchen tools safely and learn how to interpret recipes, while cooking a delicious multicultural lunch.
What kids and teens will learn:
Kids and teens will learn to make food from scratch, as well as a whole range of kitchen skills and use a variety of utensils. They will also learn about following the steps in a written recipe and accurately measuring ingredients.
What kids and teens will make:
- Crispy empanadas (veg or meat)
- Assorted sushi rolls
- Oozy arancini balls
- Saucy Singapore noodles
- Czechoslovakian cherry cake
They will join other keen cooks and leave with containers full of the delicious lunch dishes from around the world they made and also the booklet of recipes to keep so they can continue making them at home.

This is a kids indoor activity, suitable for kids from 10 to 16 years old. Adult accompaniment is not required.

Since 2002 our qualified classroom teacher has been running Brisbane cooking workshops and also in the UK and has vast experience with children and adults of all ages and abilities.
Creativity is a messy and important part of childhood but don’t worry, we clean up!
We can cater for students of all abilities; inquisitive cooks, creative minds, beginners and even help fussy eaters. In this current stage of Covid-19 we run Zoom dinner club classes for kids and special themed cooking nights on Zoom for adults. Face-to-face classes will be opening from 15th of June.
Our lessons are taught in a commercial-class kitchen with on-street parking and lots of local cafes and bushwalks right here.
