My daughter absolutely loved the Reserve Garage school holiday program. It was engaging, hands‑on, and such a fun way for kids to learn about sustainability and reusing materials in a creative environment. The team made every activity exciting, and she came home proud of what she’d made and eager to keep reusing and repurposing things at home.

A fantastic program that teaches real‑world skills while keeping kids inspired and entertained. Highly recommend.

I did not expect the detail of this workshop in only 4hrs! Yoko is a wonderful teacher, full of so much information which she communicated really clearly. Wonderful background to the art of Kintsugi and its uses and application, all done whilst instructing really practically how to repair ceramics. Great workshop!

I loved this camp, went in school holidays all the kids were kind and loved our teachers louie and yaz. My favourite thing was building our diorama and being able to do what ever

scene we wanted and having it all reused so we weren't wasting a thing! I will definitely be coming back.

Yoshi was knowledgeable, keen to share her knowledge, & there was sufficient time to try-out the techniques she had demonstrated. The 'there-are-no-real-rules' philosophy, apart from the basic design of stitches to create patterns, meant creativity could flow. Each participant seemed keen to experiment & create! I have come away inspired to get on with some long-neglected mending projects.

Our teacher Izumi was well prepared with all the equipment and learning guides we needed.

There were finished samples to provide inspiration for our choice of fabrics to use on the clay balls.

Izumi took us slowly through the process of making the clay balls highlighting the materials needed and likely places we could purchase supplies. Then Izumi showed us how to cover balls with fabric pieces to make necklace attachments.

Workshop numbers we small so we were able to have a lot of help from Izumi to make a professional looking necklace.

I would recommend this class to anyone interested in Japanese craft and accessories.

Jeff is a wonderful facilitator, he took the time to answer everyone’s questions and helped troubleshoot and made suggestions on how we could reach the goal we had in mind for our creations.

I left the workshop wanting to use the skills and ideas that I had learnt, which feels like a good indication of how enjoyable the workshop was.

Great workshop! Lots of ideas to get you started or you can bring your own design. Louise was encouraging and gave tips when carving your design with the Lino tools. The workshop timing was perfect with plenty of time to print on different papers and try collage effects.

Yoko is one of the best teacher of a practical/artistic skill I've experienced. The art of Kintsugo has its origins in ancient Zen practice, we worked with Yoko to repair and decorate a small broken dish, we all completed the repair and decoration as if time had stood still. I am confident that I can now repair and decorate other broken items and apply things I practiced in class. Ive set up a cosy corner for my Kintsugo kit, excited to get going. Yoko was clear, focussed, engaging and entertaining. I totally recommend Yoko's class - the Japanese Art Kintsugi Ceramic Repair Workshop.
