I had the most amazing time with artist and teacher Pascale! As someone who's never done alcohol ink art before (or much art overall), Pascale took the necessary time and effort to patiently, thoroughly and enthusiastically explain many different aspects - from basic colour theory, to layering/contrast, to using different mediums (graphic markers vs dyes), to trying different spreading techniques (air blower vs drip vs a bit of both if you can coordinate it!). It was also fun to learn about the different ways she applies alcohol ink in her own career. I came out feeling even more inspired to continue developing my skills, especially seeing some of the beautiful work I was able to achieve within the 3-hour workshop! I could not recommend this workshop and Pascale more.

Pascal was a wonderful teacher who took us through some beginning techniques which included making our own colour swatches. I learned more in this class than in other watercolor classes I’ve attended.
There was only three of us in the class and this made it even more special as we were closely supported.

My teacher Pascale was warm, funny, friendly, knowledgeable, and created a relaxed environment where I could have a go and not worry about making mistakes. She said that was all part of the process. Her teaching style was hands on and engaging, and she generously had a kit all ready for me! We started off with the basics, learning about colour and intensity, important brush strokes, and then she gradually built upon these until I walked away with actual frameable art! Yesterday I attended the Watercolour Art Class for Beginners - and it really was for beginners! Pascale started with the basics: the colour wheel, colour swatches, brush techniques, etc. I had been very nervous because I could not draw to save my life. Pascale was encouraging and affirming. As the workshop progressed, I gained confidenceand was able to paint two very rudimentary landscapes. I need lots of practise but now I know where to start. Pascale is a born teacher and a passionate artist. I strongly recommend this workshop.

This was a great class, the watercolour paints, brush and paper that you're given all seem high quality and there's a lot of freedom to explore the different techniques that are taught. Pascale does a great job of balancing letting you try things out on your own, making mistakes and learning, with giving really helpful suggestions and will pay attention to the kind of style that you're leaning towards and help you move in that direction. She was really kind, helpful and fun!

This was a nice first experience for both my mum and I. I am quiet and shy, so having the teacher be very warm, welcoming and fun made me feel more comfortable.
The area that we paint was a bit small, so luckily it was only a class of three. However, a bigger group might be too tight.
We were given a choice of three different types of alcohol ink to choose from, allowing us to see which ones we felt best suited for us.
As an induction course, we did learn the basic ideas and techniques, and with that, allows us to experiment at home, which I value, as I do hope to go to the next stage after getting the hang of the basics first and experiment on my own.
I am happy that I attended and will hope to attend again in a more advanced course.

Absolutely everything needed was provided and, afterwards, an email list of reminders of what I had learned, plus tips and tricks, was sent to me. It was excellent value for money, especially considering I got three solid hours (more actually) of tuition and advice. I can thoroughly recommend this class and look forward to going back for the intermediate session soon. I had a great time at this ink workshop. Pascale creates a very warm and relaxed space for experimenting with colour; no pressure, just fun and surprises.
We started out with tiny squares to experiment with the ink and these turned out well enough to make into little gift cards. We then moved onto larger pieces (up to A4). I was constantly delighted by the 'happy accidents' that the ink creates and left with some pieces to frame. The time went too fast and we were a bit pushed at the end but perhaps working under pressure is a good thing.
I can recommend this workshop for a creative and fun time.
