Looking for relaxing things to do in Sydney? Join this four-week course for beginners, where you will learn the fundamentals of hand-building pottery.

In this pottery course, you will learn all about pinch pots, coiling, slab building and joining, plus some handy tips and tricks for making larger hand build pottery forms.

We will focus on large forms, maximum (40cm x 52cm). No one is limited on what they can make, big or small, the only limit is the size of our kiln (40cmx52cm). Over the four-week course, you will build, fire and glaze your pieces. You are welcome to bring along your pottery inspiration too.

These classes are designed to be a small group of 6 students, every student will receive the one on one guidance needed.

Course outline:
- Week one - build form
- Week two - build and refine
- Week three - build and refine + bisque/glaze
- Week four - bisque/glaze

If you have attended our two-hour introduction to hand-building workshop, this is a great opportunity to continue your practice.

Please make sure you can attend all sessions before booking, as there will be no rescheduling.

Andrea started working with clay in 2016, she now runs a small ceramics studio, Open Objects Studio. The studio is located in Botany, Sydney.

Andrea's work can be found in local markets and cafes around Sydney. Andrea's work is influenced by natural landscapes and organic shapes. Her process is mindful and relaxed.

Working with clay is an experience that Andrea believes everyone will enjoy, it helps us appreciated the objects we use on a daily basis.
