Lean how to get your dream build finished and on the road!

We run small classes at our Seven Hills fully equipped workshop where you can learn:
• Hand forming and metal shaping skills
• How to use metal shaping / fabricating equipment such as the English Wheel, planishing hammer and the pullmax
• How to weld (aluminium, Oxy, TIG, MIG)
• Project management skills
• We cater to complete beginners through to students with advanced skills
• We can set you projects to help you develop your skills or you can bring your own project to work on
• All students can use our workshop equipment during class time
• Classes are all hands-on with no classroom style theory

Class schedule
• Mid-week classes run on Tuesday 5.30pm-9.30pm
• Weekend classes run on Saturdays 8.30am-4.30pm
• More classes will be added on demand
• We offer flexible attendance – use your hours as it suits you

We host regular 3 hour taster courses for $110, 10 hours for $363, or 24 hours for $738.

Bodywork maestros Georgio Rimi and Vaughan Ryan, started MotoRRetro to provides enthusiast classes and a space to learn how to do panel beating, welding and other related skills.


Georgio and Vaughan were classmates at Ultimo TAFE back in 1989, and became fast friends and rivals. Each strived to be the best at panel beating, and after having successful careers and businesses, the pair decided to work together again. Both realised that there were lots of bikes and cars rusting away in sheds, simply because the owners did not have the knowledge or tools to continue restoring them. By offering classes in vehicle body repairs, motorcycle restorations or customising parts, Georgio and Vaughan can impart over 40 years of knowledge and skills to the average bloke having a go.

“We offer our students classes in vehicle body repairs, motorcycle restorations, custom fabrication, welding and traditional coach building skills,” says Vaughan.

He emphasised that classes are limited to 10 students per class. Students learn hands-on in a casual and enjoyable atmosphere, and all skill levels are welcomed. After class hours are available, and students can opt to stay b
