Join me in my garage workshop in Erko to learn the basics of silver smithing while making a wearable fine ring and a pair of studs.
This teaser workshop is for beginners, everyone will leave feeling creative and with a sense of achievement with basic skills of silversmithing skills under your belt ready to take on another workshop or just show off your jewels to friends!
Highlights of the workshop:
- Everyone will leave with 1 x fine ring (in a finish of your choice) and 1 x pair of studs designed by you, both made in Sterling Silver.
- Fun and hands-on – each maker will have their own workspace and tools to use
- Learn lots of real jewellery making techniques – including shaping, soldering, filing, sanding, texturing and polishing!
- Work with sterling silver and learn all about it.
- Materials are all provided with no extra costs.
- Cold drinks are included.
- Small class with a maximum of six students.
- You will receive a tin to keep your new jewels safe, a polishing cloth and care card to keep your items sparkling!
- Our studio is “eco” – no harsh chemicals or toxic solutions are used in the production of the jewellery.
- The perfect morning out for friends with plenty of cafes nearby to head to after whilst wearing your new silver jewellery.
Open to all experience levels, especially designed for beginners. Over 16's only, we are happy to accomodate under 16's in private sessions.
We will provide all the materials at no additional cost, at the end you will have a fine ring and a pair of studs to wear home!
As you will be working with tools and flames please bring comfortable clothing as well as clothing you won't mind getting dirty. If you need to wear glasses to see or read these are a must. Hair must be tied back for safety and safety google/equipment worn/used as directed. Please wear closed shoes for safety.
