Do you teach at your own premises?
Yes, for up to 6 people. If more people want to attend this workshop I am happy to travel to your chosen venue.
Is there a surcharge for travelling to my own premises?
Yes, if you would like me to travel to your premises there would be a surcharge of $25-$50 depending on the distance if over 15km.
Is this workshop easy if I haven't attempted free-motion machine embroidery previously?
Yes, free-motion machine embroidery is easy to learn.
Can I do free-motion machine embroidery on my old domestic sewing machine?
Yes, the sewing machine that I usually work on is from the 1970's. Just make sure that you can drop or cover the feed dogs.
Do I need a special presser foot for sewing in free-motion?
Not necessarily, but it would be recommended to have a free-motion/darning foot, as this will make it easier for you to sew in free-motion and achieve the correct look to your stitches.
What if I don't own a sewing machine?
I have two spare sewing machines that I can hire out, for the small sum of $15, while you are attending the workshop.
