Bacarreza is an artist from Santiago, Chile.
He expressed early an interest in art, promoted by his Artist mother. As a teenager after finishing high school, Bacarreza went on to study Fine Arts at the Finis Terrae University in Santiago. The eclecticism of his work over the years has managed to bring together the oneiric world and fantasy, through figuration and realism; he colors the canvas telling stories.
His artworks made in oils are inspired by periods such as the Baroque, the Romanticism; and artists such as Ilya Repin, Joaquin Sorolla, Frank W. Benson, among others.
Bacarreza moved to Australia in 2017, first living in Sydney on the East Coast and then in 2018 he moved to Perth on the West Coast, which is where he now calls his home. He has just completed a successful exhibition at the Art Space Collective in Perth as part of the Fringe Festival at the beginning of this year.
Bacarreza is currently working on his next exhibition.

The instructor was very professional and personable. He made the class go quickly and it was fun. He was very communicative prior to the class about the subject we were going to paint, and supplied all things required for a great session.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! My friends and I have zero painting experience and we were a little nervous but Jose made us feel very comfortable and helped us create something we were all proud of. Jose is a great teacher and very funny. I would recommend this to everyone and I am already planning the next. 10 out of 10

The experience was fabulous! Jose is a fantastic teacher, so engaging and very patient! I would 100% recommend the mobile paint n sip, for a special event - something different and so much fun! Jose is awesome - spending time with each individual to demonstrate techniques and you are left with a piece of artwork (that you never thought you could do!) plus a great memory of a special time filled with lots of laughter and new learnings We’re already thinking of the next time we can do it again!

On the weekend we had the pleasure of working with Jose at a private baby shower.
He was a delight from beginning to end.
Patient to us beginners, complimentary to the talented ones and very funny.
He allowed us to go for it whilst explaining unique techniques we could each try.
His passion for his work came through in all his explanations.
Am trying to think of the next event where we can have him come back out.

Jose was great- he travelled out to us at short notice and gave an awesome painting class for a 21st. We were all beginner painters but he gave us a challenge and we were all so happy with the result!
All canvases, paint, easels, brushes were brought to us and set up and packed up for us.

Jose is a very talented, passionate painter and great teacher! Held my baby shower of 20+ people and he had all the materials we needed, set up and packing up all included in his service. He was professional yet made some little jokes to make everyone laugh. All my friends enjoyed the session and even encouraged first time painters. Will definitely consider Jose again for future painting classes! Highly recommended thank you very much!

Jose is an incredible facilitator, I had a surprise event and Jose worked with me to help pull it off and even got into character. He has such a warm kind nature which made you feel like you had known him for years. He is super talented and provides excellent feedback to everyone involved, taking the time to encourage and support each individual.

We had such a fantastic time with Jose for our paint and sip class! We organised Prosecco, nibbles and pizzas for the evening and he brought everything we needed to get painting! He selected a fabulous pic for us to paint and gave us great support and instruction (as none of us have any experience). It was relaxed but we still learnt a lot. We laughed LOTS and had a wonderful evening! Thank you Jose!

We had a private group of 4 at my home. Each had varying painting experiences, and Jose helped us all paint our own sunset image. He is an excellent artist & teacher. We had a lot of fun and laughter, turning the experience in to a friendly competition. Jose’s ability to guide us individually was greatly appreciated, and he gave us a bit of extra time at the end to finish. Thanks so much Jose.

Great paint and sip class! I was a beginner and never painted before. Jose (Teacher) was helpful, fun and I would highly recommend my friends to do it again. He supplied all the materials and the class was good value! I learnt so much. Can’t wait to do it again

I had an amazing 32nd birthday celebration “Arty Party” at my house. I transformed my living/dining area into an art studio.
Jose was the best teacher and is so incredibly patient! I liked how he provided everything so all I had to do was set up the space.
Jose communicated leading up to the class and was very thorough and clear in instruction and engaged perfectly with us. I really appreciated how he made us feel comfortable we felt a bit anxious or unsure of how to paint the next step. There was zero judgment.
We would live to hire Jose again in the new year as we just loved it so much!

We had a great time with Jose! He was very passionate, patient with our lack of art skill, very welcoming, and everyone had a great time. We definitely had some nervous painters in our group of 8 but Jose was very helpful and approachable with new techniques. The set-up went very smoothly and we had so much fun! The ‘tropical galaxy’ we painted was a fun surprise and heaps of us got very creative. Thanks again Jose, I had a great birthday.

I had a great time yesterday with Jose. He provided all of materials including a really interesting purple clover for the subject of our class. We painted with watercolors and ink and created a piece of art that reflects the lessons José had prepared. I would recommend this class.
