What a lovely morning I had learning how to make yogurt, sour cream, butter, labneh, ghee and more. It was so much fun!! :-) Alison is a warm, welcoming, knowledgeable person who is so kind and friendly. I learnt so much in just a few hours and have come away from the class feeling inspired, confident and excited to make these items myself at home. Alison did a wonderful job teaching this class and I loved every minute! I cannot wait to attend other classes and build my knowledge base and skills. Thank you for a fantastic morning Alison! :-)

What a great way to spend a Saturday morning. I learned so much and can’t wait to make all the products at home. Excited to try some of the other classes.

This winter comfort foods cooking class was such a fantastic experience! The industrial kitchen was spacious, spotless, and fully stocked with everything we needed. It felt like cooking in a real chef’s kitchen, which made the whole process even more exciting.
Our instructor was patient, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She guided us through each step without ever making things feel rushed or intimidating. Whether you’re a total beginner or more experienced, you’ll feel right at home.
After cooking, we got to sit down and enjoy our delicious creations with a beautiful backdrop—bright, peaceful, and the perfect setting to savour every bite. It was such a cozy, satisfying way to spend the day.
Highly recommend this class to anyone looking to warm up their kitchen skills and learn new recipes. Can’t wait to try the delicious recipes in my own home.

City farm is an unexpectedly open calm place to take part in a class. The teacher is personable with both detailed handout notes and clear in course instruction.
For me understanding the timing in all the steps of making the flat breads was something only an in situ can teach you clearly.
Yummy lunch and a farm lo0k around to finish on time.

The cheese making workshop was wonderful! Allison's warm and relaxed approach made everyone feel very comfortable and her knowledge and passion for home-made were inspiring. Holding the session at Neighbourhood Farm, with an outdoor kitchen and fresh produce growing all around us added so nicely to the experience. And the cheese! We made farmers cheese, paneer, haloumi and ricotta and it was all delicious. And much easier than I ever imagined! Thanks for a wonderful experience Allison :)

Our cheese making workshop was very enjoyable especially as it was held outside In The Neighbourhood Farm Corinda, where we were surrounded by trees, birds and vegetable gardens.
Alison gave us notes and very thoroughly explained the recipes. Her passion for fresh, home made food and meticulous approach was obvious. We all had turns stirring and cutting mixtures and tasting the beautiful cheeses: farmers’ cheese, haloumi, paneer and ricotta. Unexpectedly we all shared lunch with a delicious salad that we foraged for and cooked paneer and haloumi. A very inspiring and delicious day was had by all!

Fabulous experience. This bento voucher was a birthday gift and I’m so glad I chose the cheese making course. I would thoroughly recommend. Alison our instructor was extremely knowledgeable about the whole process of cheese making and meticulous with cleaning and planning. In four hours we made paneer cheese / haloumi and ricotta cheese. And it tasted so much better than store bought.
The outdoor kitchen setting certainly gave it a rustic feel and made for a lovely day. Thank you Alison.

The venue was great and the whole concept of Food Connect was inspiring Alison was very practical and down to earth in her approach There was plenty of time for questions and I felt comfortable to ask questions that related to my situation Alison was open to suggestions for future classes which was encouraging for me to come to more classes By the end of the class I felt keen to make my own nut milk and that my family would be healthier drinking chemical free nut milks
