What you'll do
As part of our workshop series for beginners, our Kokedama for beginners is a fantastic way to pick up and learn some new gardening skills!
Below is what you can expect to learn from the workshop
1. We introduce you to species of succulents and indoor plants from our wide local selection use for your kokedamas.
2.We teach you how to create mixtures and mediums for succulents and indoor plants so they are successful in your kokedama.
3.We teach and demonstrate techniques in creating kokedama ( Weaving, neat twine)
By going through these key processes you will be equipped with the tools to
create your own kokedamas with various styles at home easily and keep them healthy seasonally and long term.
Please note: This class requires at least 5 students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class

North Queenslander’s turned city folk, Bella and Keylan are passionate about greenery. Bella was raised in a family where gardening is a way of live. If she wasn’t visiting her grandmothers water lily farm or pottering around her dads bonsai collection, she was out in the hills of North Queensland discovering new places and photographing moss ( yes moss! ). Keylan is a man of many talents, if he isn’t tracking down rare plants, he is building furniture and greenery specific fixtures to complement their locally sourced products. Together, Bella and Keylan work and live by Greenery, constantly bringing nature into the urban landscape.

Work-Shop is a creative concept that will broaden your horizons and help you unleash your inner awesome. We provide affordable short courses in life skills and alternative art. We’ve teamed up with Australia’s brightest creative minds to share their knowledge and help teach you a new skill. From 3D printing and stencil art through to music and gardening – life skills and personal development through to cooking doughnuts and mushroom foraging, we offer a broad range of fun and creative short courses to suit our time poor lives. We will inspire you to pick up that pen, paintbrush, hammer or sewing machine and flick the switch that will kickstart a whole new way of life.
Community values lie at the heart of our project. We collaborate with local artists and industry experts to teach classes and utilise local suppliers for any materials needed. We also provide a creative environment for emerging artists to produce and sell work, and meet like minded individuals. Work-Shop will be a space for everyone, with a rotating schedule of art shows, information nights on local issues and a whole range of events and community initiatives.

I think for the amount of money i paid for the workshop the plants could have been abit more substantial and more interesting than the small assorted ferns provided. That is my only review on the workshop. The teacher was good she was quirky, supplies were ok not great but ok. Venue was good. Parking was good. Macrame was good enjoyed that the most.
